This was coming due to how sloppy BP was getting over screening for age requirements. Samething happened with redbook. Greed over common sense. SMH

The story makes a lot of the reasoning to go after them based on BP employees and filters educating advertisers in how to PLACE ads and not reporting to authorities possible advertisement of illegal activities.

How is that different than what staff does here when editing content in ads or posts?

All shutting BP down does is force those they really want to crack down on to find other mediums to advertise on in the areas they are active. Like it or not many will find their way here.

Does anyone really think there were more than a handful across the country that woke up and thought... "Hmmm... Guess I ought to quit this now and go to work for Walmart".

BP was a great resource for LE to easily sting bad operators. Now they won't have that any more. It's politics. Politicians will claim that it was an outrage to let them continue. Loud mouths and busy bodies in the public were screaming.

Sad. I think we're all mostly smart enough to avoid underage and trafficked providers if we want to, and smart enough to find them if we do. I'm serious in doing the former and serious about avoiding those who do the latter. The hobby is full of earnest folk. Closing down BP does little to make bad things right.
