Fauxcahontas was paid $429,981 per year to teach one university class, and now she's campaigning against the high cost of education.

I don't think it's just her policies that specifically hurt Wall Street. These people know more than a little about how business and the economy work and know Warren would be bad for America. We'd have huge deficit spending, huge increases in taxes on the most productive Americans, and an energy policy that would stifle growth. If Warren and her fellow travelers stayed in power for 20 or 30 years, our economy would be more than 30% smaller than it would be under decent leadership, based on analogies to European countries that have tried similar policies. I don't believe there are currently any developed countries in the world with economic policies as far to the left as hers. Sweden, France, etc. may have tried what she wants to try. They failed and changed course. Warren's an idiot, as are the French Socialist economists advising her.

I agree. Warren and others of her ilk seemingly have learned nothing from the experiences of other nations around the world.

Recently I heard someone say that Americans occasionally need to re-learn a painful lesson about what ultra-progressive government is and what it does - and who ultimately ends up being penalized the most. (Hint: It isn't rich people.)

Frightening stuff indeed.

That's one good thing you can say about American voters. They do learn from their mistakes from time to time. Compare to the Argentines. They never learn, keep electing the same sort of leftist populists, and have been condemned to suffer as a result.

Seems I recall reading that Argentina was one of the half-dozen wealthiest nations (per capita) in 1900. It's been on a downward slide for a century. Perhaps it could be said that their track is a little like "Venezuela-lite" ... not an abrupt plunge into the abyss like Venezuela, but a very sorry set of developments nonetheless.

If people of Warren's ilk gain the presidency and both houses of congress within the next 10 years and enact their full wish list, the rebound could be like nothing we've ever seen as events unfold before an increasingly horrified electorate.

Although I don't doubt that a trip through the full cycle - the good, the bad, and the ugly (not necessarily in that order!) - will occur, it could take many years and several election cycles.

But if the economy weakens, all bets are off. Then Warren certainly would have a fair chance of winning. Judging from some of this forum's recent comments, some posters consider that impossible. They're deluding themselves.
Things are going downhill for your president. The economy is already softening. Trump acts like he got hit by a truck. Did someone slap his MAGA hat off his head?

Don't worry, mystic. Help is on the way. Mrs. Bruce Mann will slap that MAGA hat off of The Donald's head and arrange to provide you with the increased governments benefits that you so desperately crave. She'll have the money to pay for that after taking it away from all those mean capitalists who've been exploiting your labor all these years.

She's totally fake. Even her academic "research" is fake! I pointed this out 6 months ago:

Despite her recent polls, she's not a good campaigner. She struggled to beat Scott Brown in 2012 to win her Senate seat in deep-blue liberal Massachusetts. I think Trump will eat her lunch.

Here's how I summed her up 6 months ago.

Harvard paid her $350k a year to teach a single course.

She never met a payroll in her life - yet she hates anyone who did. She originated the dims' ignorant, offensive "you didn't build that" trope.

She knows even less about economics than you do!

She has as much charm, warmth and wit as a hyperactive chipmunk.

that's pretty funny Mr. CEO!!! I'm a capitalist sir. 75% of the right wind loons on here are on some type of welfare. I've always worked and made my own money. If I need government assistance of any kind, Ill damn sure take it if I need it. If I don't need it Im glad its there for someone who does.I've gladly payed lots in taxes and have had a good life. Im, not like you, looking for loop holes to avoid paying your fair share. Its not really that surprising. You openly support a traitor

I sure as hell hope you're right! It would be very depressing to see someone pull the flush handle after tossing the U.S. economy into the porcelain bowl.

Yes, I have no doubt that you're a quite successful entrepreneur who has "payed" (LOL) a lot of taxes!

Funny, but everyone else I know who has enjoyed some success seems to know how to spell the word "paid!"
