Default Bye week boredom

Our local loser thankfully has the week off. Nothing but crap until 4:30 when the saints and bears square off. Will Jon Gruden have green and gold striped shirts for the Packers mvps from Monday night? Who will come out on top in the house that Jerry built in the game of the day?

That's what you get when you leave the best quarterback on the board.

Just think how all of you Kneelers fans must agonize over waiting one more day for football. Meanwhile you could have driven alittle over 3 hours north to see 2 legitimate NFL teams today.

Only someone like you would agonize over Pro sports. If you consider the Browns a legitimate NFL franchise, it says a lot about you. BTW, are you a lifetime Patriots fan or did you just jump on the bandwagon? They weren’t very legitimate for decades before Brady. You probably couldn’t name the second best Patriot of all time. I’m talking about career Patriots, not the rental Patriots like Moss or Revis.

I was only going to settle for the drive to new era Field in Buffalo. And then maybe a trip across the border to stretch my dollar.

Whenever someone breaks out shit like this, I remember the 2 Lombardi trophys and the 3 times I've seen the Cup in the last 20 years, and I promptly don't even give a fuck who you root for.

Well let's see. I enjoyed watching 6 Lombardi trophies since 2001. Baseball season for me is something I don't put x's on a calendar until training camp seeing my team win 4, with the first coming back making baseball history in October.

I’ve enjoyed 6 Lombardi Trophies. The Steelers have had a long run of success. The Patriots have all their eggs in the Belicheat/Brady basket. They were insignificant before, and will be insignificant after. Enjoy the ride while you can. If you dismiss the Steelers as an illegitimate franchise, you might as well include the Patriots too.

The same goes for the Steelers who were a horrible franchise until their drafts and free agencies paid off into the '70's. And then you suffered 26 years after 1980. A lot of the sports media highlighted how the NFL made sure Cowher and Bettis got their ring. And then Wisenhunt's replay challenge wins left to Ben making a his other bad seed in Holmes a Pittsburgh legend. Yes New England suffered through tough times before the hoody came back to New England. But in modern day media with sports talk radio, no one cared when the Patriots won 3 Superbowls to begin the 21st century. But when they kept winning consistently that's when Steelers and Cowboys fans started getting ticked off, chipping at the Patriots mystique. Especially the New York sports media who despise the Beantown success these last 2 decades. I can understand the frustration when you see the lean years coming while someone else is going to achieve something in 19 years compared to 36 years. We all wish our teams had 4 in a row runs like the Montreal Canadians of yesteryear. Or the ultimate winner in basketball in Bill Russell who centered the Celtics dynasty. We all can agree football dynasty is tougher to build today with the players chasing dollars instead of franchise immortality.

I respect the Steelers teams of the 1970's. Chuck Noll and his teams had tough competition in the Raiders and Cowboys to get to the top. And Minnesota was tough in those days but couldn't quite win the big one.

So what? The Steelers were bad before I was born. But the Patriots have been bad in recent times. Their only pre Brady Super Bowl was a complete embarrassment by the Bears. And Belicheat will always have that cheating asterisk by his name. That being said, He’s the best coach during the cap era. I would say Brady is the greatest football player of all time. Not just QB. Now, why you started this flame thread is beyond me. It’s a real troll move. I enjoy having an objective discussion on sports. But your insults are childish and immature. But by all means, carry on.

Ah yes...the Montreal Canadiens. Only significant when there were 6 teams in the league. Must've been nice.
