Not the part I'm from! The part of DC I'm from (east of the Anacostia River) used to belong to P.G. County, MD...where I actually grew up when my folks became the last of those to take up "white flight" from the city...after the riots.

Marylanders, as a fine historian like yourself knows...fought for both sides. We just LIKE to fight!

It's going on 146 years since the end of the civil war. You guys really know how to hold a grudge.

"Civil War"? I think you mean the "War of Northern Aggression" or "War for Southern Independence". There was nothing civil about that war.

Si...Connecticut. Stamford, to be precise.

If you knew I was coming you'd have baked a cake?

My apologies for not saying something, sir! But, I wasn't planning on being here this weekend. I was supposed to leave Friday but I had to be back 1st thing on Monday. So....I got buffalo-ed by that moronic weather forecast into just staying.

I understand there's a pub down the street that shows futbul. About to head out now..

Will do! This project is going to be going for a while. When the weather gets a little nicer, I'll be inclined to venture out more. Right now...it's dash out to get something & dash back...can't hack this cold anymore!

Of course there is nothing "civil" about any war, especially civil wars. And your terminology just proves that one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter.

How about the War of Southern Aggression? Last I heard they fired on Fort Sumter and took over Federal forts in at least Alabama and Florida before war broke out.
