I'll take the latter. Skill gets the job done better than looks. Looks can only get so far, enthusiasm(IOP) and skills make for a much better experience.

But if at all possible, why not the best of both?

More often than not, the better they look the more they think they can get away with poor service.

Not always, but more often, at least in my experience. And more likely to have GPS.
