I really don’t pay attention to that twaddle like you do. But I was remiss not posting after their 7hr effort. It’s a long season, I’m not going to post everyday about them. But, they are far better than the usual Nutting haters believe. They’re not contenders this year. But they’re coming together. An “intelligent” fan can see this. They’ve been competitive without their best player Cruz. He left a big hole defensively and at the plate. They have some studs that will be up this year. And, the cherry on the sundae, they have the first overall pick in this years draft. A kid who scouts say is the best prospect since Bryce Harper. Their arrow is pointing up Mr Husky. But feel free to bump this thread anytime!! I really don’t give a shit.

Let's give the Pirates some credit... Almost 1/3 thru the
season-meet and they don't look any worse then any-other side.
And even look better than a dozen or so teams.

THAT is a reason to Celebrate... ...

Nice try Salty but Bambino said nobody listens to you. I will give the “players” a little credit for playing hard. But this is all a scam. As soon as Ortez breaks out he’ll be gone. Just like the rest. Then a new rising star will come along that the fools fall for, only to see him leave. Rinse and repeat. We need an owner that has civic pride and a competitive spirit. Till then, we are fucked.

But the Pirates are in a "good place" NOW - as far as
baseball goes... The can ADD and don't need to subtract
very much... So they have maybe a 3 year "window" to succeed.

And you are correct about Nutting... He surely could use
some "civic pride" and a "competitive spirit"...
Those ARE two things he seems to lack.
