Default keeping records

Here is an issue that I have never seen discussed here and I am wondering the thoughts of both the ladies and guys.

Over the years I have dealt with many ladies who told me they keep exact journals of their encounters. Such journals include incoming phone calls, who they see, times, descriptions of cars if available, etc. Even details of encounters.

They keep the records for safety purposes. They have a friend that always knows where the hidden journal is in case something horrible should happen. Authorities would know who has been there, who has been calling, all the information for leads.

Question to pose: For the ladies, how common is this? For the guys: Would this bother you?

I've never heard of any providers doing this. It must not be very common.

Well, yeah, it would bother me. It could very easily fall into the wrong hands.

I know ladies who keep some records, but not to that length. That's scary.

Everytime I have a client, someone knows where I am and what time I should be done. That's it.

I have heard of some providers keeping 'some' info to remember a client, but not even CLOSE to that extent. Definetly a little scary

I've seen an episode of COPS where they did some major busts cause a girl was doing something like that. Keeping records like that is not so smart if you ask me.

In a cash only " hobby" I would think that to keep such detailed records would be sitting herself for some major IRS problems.

Maybe take a trick from Al Capone and do it all in code. Oh wait, they got him didn't they?

Personally, I'd put it on a locked laptop or tablet with a heavily encrypted memo file with an auto-wipe feature.

I do keep very basic, innocuous information, but even once the data is unencrypted, you'll still need me as a cipher, as things are written in a type of shorthand that only I can really understand - LOL. I safeguard my business very well for both me and most importantly, for my clients. I certainly don't keep details to the level described in the OP, and having that type of information in a journal which anyone could access would be an inconceivable breach of discretion and etiquette, at least IMHO.

I've been lucky to have many great mentors in this business whom have taught me very well - I do something similar to what Q describes, but my records are stored on a firewalled and deeply encrypted file-server and accessed solely via a highly secure tunneled VPN. The physical location of the server is changed frequently, along with ISP, as I own the server outright (it was built for a few hundred dollars in parts in a used 1U chassis - it is amazing how inexpensive it can be when you don't need cutting edge technology and you buy behind the curve - or you buy used) and co-location is really dirt cheap when you don't use much bandwidth at all - costs about $50 a month all in and that includes bandwidth for my personal and professional Website(s).

Plus, I have a damn good memory, and no one is getting details from in there . . . I know how to keep quiet, that's what I'm paid to do - I keep secrets for a living, among other things.

Kisses,

- Jackie

That's why I never use my real name and always use a throw-away phone.

Journal, logbooks and diaries are admissible in court, and encourage record keeping.

Most businesses, and professional organizations encourage (or demand) record keeping. There are page numbered journals with places for witnesses to sign for each page of the notebook. Handwritten is always better. However, it is becoming more common to use computer programs for this. I recently spent (you wouldn't believe it, if I told you) LXXX$ to enable a program to prevent changes to any log entry. Corrections may be made, but only with the log in name of the computer making the changes. Otherwise, it may not be admissible in court. This type of entry may be required for patent work.

I keep records on every client, including anything that comes up in our conversations, such as: political views, birthday, wife & children's names, likes, dislikes, religion, church attended, organization, education, what he understands about our work, and what he needs help with, interests for future work and purchases.

The information is cross checked and referenced in a data base to bring up birthdays and such things to write him about; such as the beginning of duck hunting season, or the trout opener at Bennet Springs.

But, I recently left all my log books at the office for a court appearance because I Knew it would be an opportunity to open a witch hunt. When questioned about the procedure used to arrive at _____. My answer was: Mr. Attorney, you are holding the procedure requirements in your hand which are stipulated by the international professional organization_____. Those are the procedures that were followed.

Now then guys, after this preface; I assume that every girl keeps a log book. If she does not: she has no protection to remember all the necessary facts if she is assaulted, or worse. She has also lost a real treasure about each guy who is a gentlemen who visits her. Such as: how much did he spend, did he tip, does she feel safe with him, what is his likes and dislikes, what did they talk about, etc.

This is a gold mine: if and when the guy calls her again she can act as if she has total recall, and remembers everything about the great experience.

Don't tell me the professional women don't do this.

Then the caution is: some of the girls, or there pimps, keep records for other reasons: they want to know everything about who you really are, your family, your job, and other goodies.

That is why there is no 411 and the hobby only knows me as JR Lawrence, and he died in Nam.

JR

PS. Years ago 1970's when I first used the hobby to have a good companion after my wife died I used Plaza Escorts. I used the same girl for many months and we became good friends. When she retired, and left the hobby, I got a call from a lady who said she was a good friend of xxxxx. After several visits, she told me that xxxxx had sold her her client information book including how to take very special care of me.

Log books have value. Don't tell us that the girls don't keep them. I know two that did.

JR

agreed and just because its admissible doent mean it will lead to a prosecution...just keep your rmouth shut and dont admit to anything...lawyer up

If I remember did heidi fleiss get prosecuted for running an escort serice ....I believe yes...did any men in log books get arrested and prosecuted because their name showed up in the log book ( i dont think so...i could be wrong)
Now it may embarassing to some..but prosecution doesnt worry me...unless i talk!!
