Default Tension Headache Cure

I have had a fricken tension headache for about 9 hours now. I have taken different types of OTC aspirins but nothing will tackle it or even put a dent in it. I wonder is the age old statement “sex will cure a headache” is true and really works. Thoughts anyone?...

I agree it does!! Having an orgasm is the untimate release. Tension comes from stress, and having an orgasm releases that stress....I hope you feel better.

FYI- I know it's Sunday and many places are closed. But nail salons do offer chair massages at reasonable prices. You may want to get a nice chair massage every once in awhile to deal with stress....in between those times when your having sex of course I'm assuming your a firefighter, which is a very stressful job I'm sure. Be Well, and don't forget to take care of YOU in between saving lives. -Tatiana

Yeah, being a firefighter is one of my 2 jobs but it doesn't pay th bill since I'm a volunteer and do it for free.

Back of neck and temple massage for sure. I would agree with Tatiana on massage. The sex part is different for me because when I have a super bad headache sometimes O'ing makes my brain feel like it has a stick of dynamite in it from the build up... After the tension it is better. Everyone is different.

I get headaches from stress and allergies so bad I want to vomit sometimes. I find massage, drinking lots of water, and sometimes a cold cloth or ice pack on forehead and back of neck helps too...

Then sex after it feels a little better... That's what has worked for me in the past.

Good luck... I hope you feel better, headaches are brutal.

Excedrin preferably Excedrin Migraine. It was off the shelves for a bit due to a recall because of irregular pill shape.
I have found this to be effective for even the worst (Migraines) headaches. It even has helped when I had strep throat. When it hurts to swallow ;-).

I never found the knockoffs to work as well. I know that's strange considering they have the same active ingredients which always makes me wonder what exactly is in Excedrin.

Unless it's the placebo effect working on me.

Even Excedrin and Excedrin Migraine are exactly the same according to the labels, yet they market two separate products for a reason and claims they work differently. Why?

There were a whole slew of manufacturing problems which caused them to shut the lines down. I ran out just as they started up again...

No doubt when something gets really bad, nothing is going to work. Not even the codeine you can buy legally over the counter in Canada.

When I get that bad, I try my best to fall asleep no matter how painful my head may be. Even a short nap can work wonders.
