The democratic party has lain down with the socialist and communist parties in this country for so long that their worn out assholes can't even produce a good fart when they pass gas.
You're wrong. But that's not the issue here. You're now feverishly backpedaling from your OP again, JDIdiot, and sourcing our very own ex-pat (which of course makes him an expert), IBHomo.

Your post doesn't mention the GOP OR the Tea Party. However it seems like you've acknowledged that the Tea Party IS in fact part of the GOP, simply by attacking the Democrats with a STRAWMAN argument.

Again, what did you say you taught at the university level?

There are really only two parties in this country. The Tea Party is the extreme of the GOP just like Al Sharpton is the extreme of the Democrats. JD and the Tea Party is the counterpart to Al Sharpton and his merry band.

Ever since the beginning of parties in the US they have really been coalitions of people with some beliefs in common, not lock-step single issue monoliths. It isn't a perfect political system but it is what we have evolved to. In essence it is not as different from the multi-party countries such as Italy, only in our case we have "built" the coalition of groups prior to the elections rather than trying to form coalition governments after an election.
Very well put - we assemble the coalitions before the election - I like that description.

Now, I must go back to the ship!!

Keep quacking admiral. The Tea Party whackjobs are the best thing to happen to the Democrats since Barry Goldwater. A group of seriously, and more important, obviously crazy shitbags whose agenda isn't even remotely mainstream.....say goodbye to the center and, significant segments of the center-right.

I know you get all goose-pimply when you think about the trail you think you are blazing here....but, you're seriously deluded if you honestly believe any candidate backed by the Tea Party is going to be POTUS in 2016.....or any other time.

Fuck off back to the janitorial closet now and clean that broom.......

All of sudden I don't think you're too bright again. The Tea Party gave the House to the GOP and now they've given the Senate to the GOP. How did that help the democrats? Do you really want to know why there is no middle anymore in either the Democratic Party of the Republican Party?
