If stealthiness is the goal, a little fuel-injected scooter nice n quiet... But the Harley makes a statement on its arrival, and departure too. Some with open side pipes make the perfect ring causing car alarms to sound and the babies wail...

Fuck it though. S(cream) right in there vroom vroom.

[Or get VFR800A, quiet AND badass].. See,

Sport? I have no problems with bikes but sport? Lifestyle sure, but y'all consider it sport?

Quiet is an option?

I also ride my Harley to some appointments and it has never been an issue. In fact several of the nice young ladies I see I have asked me for a ride and I enjoy having them to ride with. It is normal now in the warmer weather to see several bikes parked at hotels and motels. Just like any other vehicle. I only have a hand full of providers I know where we meet at their home, but it has not been an issue. No different than pulling up in a hummer where people look at your ride.

Your right to a degree.Just riding a motorcycle is more of a lifestyle choice rather than sport, but since there are several sporting aspects to the lifestyle such as drag racing, hill climbing, ect..,and when you have to be on the defensive when you ride because of people not paying attention, yes we consider it a sport as well as a lifestyle choice.

Going out for a 4-5 hr ride is a perfect way to get 'alone' time for an appointment with one of our lovely ladies.

And just to point it out, Harleys are not by nature any louder than any other stock cruiser. It's the loud pipes that yahoos put one them that make them annoying.

And like you, I always offer rides if the lady is interested and has time.

Riding a Harley is now a sport? Seriously ... Overpriced and most leak enough oil to keep the Saudis happy. Harley's own banck even loses money and requested TARP funds from Uncle Sam. I do enjoy repoing Harleys, those people sure cry some big tears. I would consider playing golf, or NASCAR, a sport before riding a Harley a sport.

I usually ride to my appointments, not on a Harley though... it feels great riding home afterward... Great combo, never gotten any complaints from providers

Sorry to disappoint you, but yes motorcycling is considered a sport, not just riding Harley's.And Harley engines have consistently improved over the years and haven't been notorious for leaking oil since the Shovelhead.
It sounds to me that you may be the type that secretly wants to own a Harley but can't afford it or don't have the balls,so you compensate by bashing the brand.
Lastly, this thread is wondering off topic with this debate, the original post was about riding to appointments on motorcycles, so let's stay on point shall we

I love the Harley sound, but I live in a very small complex, and it can be noticeable when someone on a Harley (or any motorcycle for that matter) comes rumbling in. I've even asked gents that have the option of using a flashy car (like a little red corvette) versus an every day mundane car (like a VW Jetta) to please arrive in the in the mundane car. I like the least amount of attention drawn to me as possible.

I appreciate your concern. However, I am secure in my manhood, unlike most midlife crisis men, I do not need to feel vibrations in order to activate my masculinity for my 1.3" of dangling death.is legendary.
