Over population by a landslide. With population control most problems go away or get put into perspective

Considering that the United States has changed in size, scope, population, minority population and the number of states in the short time it has been in existence one could argue that the United States is more a type of government than a physical entity.

I think that the most existential threat to our government is the inability for our government leaders to stick to fair elections, distribution of power and the ability to compromise for the good of the whole.

The fact trumpys believe everything everything they're told without checking to see if it is true or not is a huge problem.
If they didn't have trump, it would just be someone else's line of bullshit.
Their morals are almost non-existent. Truth means nothing to them.
Most of them suffer from Dunning -Kruger effect.

I picked nuclear war, probably because I've been watching the Netflix series "Turning Point, The Bomb and the Cold War."

I definitely missed some. Yours is a good one Txdot. Maybe you could generalize it as "bad governance."

"Godlessness" in acknowledgement of Supra's recent thread perhaps should have been on the list. And thinking about the fall of the Roman empire and John F. Kennedy's inaugural address, "People putting their own selfish interests before what's best for their country".

I would say WW IV is top of my mind these days, as I am highly likely to have descendants involved in it. WW III seems a forgone conclusion. Though something biblical sure seems in the mix as well - especially with the Biden TransEaster shit in our faces,

Good answer. Whether Biden or Trump wins in 2024 will have little impact on me personally.

Central Texas cities have been growing in population much faster than other areas of the country. Great example speedy. A friend of mine says something like this. We've got too many straws in the ground sucking from the same big gulp.

People forget the reason we have he governmental architecture that we do: It is found in The Preamble to the Constitution.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

I wondered why Winn Dixie started the thread on overpopulation and now I understand. If I lived where you gentlemen did, that would be high up on my list too. The Austin area is way too crowded.

I share your concern, and sure hope you're wrong about WW III. We've got to find a way to get along with Russia, China, North Korea, and any other country that might start a nuclear war.

ICU's post is relevant to this too. We should have freedoms in this country, established in the Constitution, that keep us from getting steamrolled by the political class and, to a lesser degree, other elites. But oftentimes things don't work that way.
