This is another nostalgia thread for me as I was thinking over my hobby experiences. I had two times where I ran into providers in a random public place. The first time I was at a bar with some friends from work. We had just gotten to the club and as I was walking up to the bar to get a beer, I noticed that a provider that I had seen several times, Kimberly, was at the bar. I stepped up to the bar near her and after I talked to the bartender I turned to her and she said hi. Since she initiated it, we talked for a couple of minutes and went back to our respective groups. My friends were a bit surprised that I was the one who talked to a hot girl at the bar, but they didn't really think much of it. In later trips to the same place Kimberly was there and a few times she actually came up and talked to me when I was with a group and since they had already seen me talking to her, it wasn't a big deal. Turns out that she was friends with a couple of people who worked at the club and the band she was in even performed there a couple of times.

The next experience could have been very weird, but thanks to the earlier incident, it didn't raise many questions. Again we were at the same club after work and I noticed someone else who I had seen several times in the crowd. She saw me and walked up and hugged me. My friends were taken aback by this hot girl walking up and hugging me. I was not known for knowing that many hot women. After the hug she said something like it was good to see you and said she would talk to me later and walked back to her friends. My friends were like, who the hell was that ? I told them she was friends with Kimberly, which she really was, and I said we met there a couple of weeks earlier. I was mad that she was so bold, but it all worked out in the end.

Anyone else run into someone from the hobby outside of appointments ?

This has NEVER happened to me. Strangely, however...I feel like it should. I'm an upwardly mobile young woman and my clients in "escort-land" are typically big wigs! I've never run into any of my clients. Considering they are overwhelmingly corporate decisions-makers who attend fabulous galas...it leads my to believe I need to step my game up! I want to be invited oh so bad! xoxo

The only safe response is no response. Just look right through her as if she didn't exist, get your drink and sit down. If the lady has any sense she will understand and will expect you to do the same. You can contact her later to "apologize" but she really should understand this basic hobby rule.

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all considering I am single with no kids. Hasn't happened to me yet but I'm sure it will one day.

I think it would be fun and exciting to run into someone I've seen on the street.. in a store..whatever. If I (and she) were obviously alone a hug would be very welcome but obviously not if SO's were around. I'm pretty sure ll the ladies I know are smart enough to not initiate even an acknowledgement that we 'know' each other initially. A quick, discreet wink and casual smile would be a lot of fun regardless.

Mr. CGent, THAT LADY SHOULD NEVER HAVE WALKED UP TO YOU IN PUBLIC IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR CIVILIAN FRIENDS. Even if she know if you're married, have a s/o, or completely unattached, she should never cross the lines of hobby and private life. Think of the situation a lady can put a guy into with his friends, "How do you know that hot girl?", does Suzy know that you know such hot women?, does she get jealous? etc, etc. Or, put it another way. Instead of being a hobbyist, you're in a role reversal, and you are a provider, and you're out with some civilian girl friends, maybe a few guys in with the group. And you go walking up and give the under cover provider a big grin and hello, maybe a touch or a peck. You leave, now the questions come up - who's the old geezer? where do you know him from? are you friends with his daughter? does Fred know about him? etc, etc, etc. Neither of you should cross the other person's lines without permission.

As I said, I was upset about the hug, but everything turned out ok. Never saw her again after that because she quit that agency, but I don't know if I would have because of her lack of discretion. She was extremely hot, but also flakey.

A lady and I saw each other in a parking lot. We were each alone and knew each other's real names, but didn't use them. We spoke briefly (about one minute) and went our separate ways.

People should be very careful about any kind of public exchange. If a lady approached me, I could explain it away. I know many civie ladies who show me a little public affection even when I'm with others. I know them from personal life or business, so it's not unusual. Some of those ladies are young, some older.

BUT, most people expect discretion. It's part of their privacy. No matter how well we knew each other in private, I'd never approach her in public.

CG, I've got hot young women throwing themselves at me all the time....my wife understands, it's pretty normal.....yah right!!

Let's just say some hot steamin' beauty like Naomi (I know she never would never be anything but a pro in this situation) but let's just say she were to just smile and say hello to me in public....The lights and sirens would go off all over the place and I would never be able to explain who she is/was and how I knew her to any of my friends/family....

You must be young enough (and single) that it is at least a little possible for you to know a hot little vixen so as not to be too out of line....correct?!? Maybe that's why you could pull it off...don't know if I could do that....

That's why I don't play a lot - and I certainly don't play in the back yard!!
