Sometimes You Have to Stand Up
So I am sure this will get some shit stirred but I do not care. I called ZyklonZomb in the past with the use of his name. In case you are not aware Zyklon B was the gas they used at Auschwitz for mass annihilation of people. For some one on here to use this in any shape or form is abominable. It shows total disrespect for mankind and the human experience. You can go back and forth with what ever dribble you care to about "well I can call myself what ever I want". It falls on deaf ears. Just like the gas did to my relatives. You should be banned just for bad choice and stupidity. I would say a bunch of other things but I would probably be violating some F&%^%@ ing policy on here about standing up.

I had seen your other recent posting on this and was unaware of what you were specifically referencing. I appreciate your explanation here.
I think you make an excellent point.

I have been reading some of his posts - let him keep the name, it reminds me who I am dealing with. But, I do appreciate the post.

He picked the name for the same reason children curse in front of their elders/parents, for shock value. You can buy into it and be offended, or you can see it for what it is, a cry for attention, and just ignore it.

Blue,
I agree with your sentiments. It's offensive.
Unfortunately, there's no law to enforce good manners and polite behavior. His name and avatar appear to have been chosen to push the limits of civility.
I find the world is a better place when I'm nice to other people. Alas, many don't hold that view.
Take comfort in the fact that many of us are quietly indignant along with you.

I had no clue what his name was/meant! Figured he was anti religion by his posts, but the name I agree is uncalled for on a board with people from all walks of life. It belongs on a board that supports his beliefs, not here.
Thank you for sharing.

Obviously there is a considerable amount of consternation regarding my screen name. My intent was not offend or shock rather more of a tip of my hat to a group of people that took me in and gave me work in Europe in the late 70s/ early 80s. Throbbing Gristle wrote and recorded the song I'm referring to, and their shows depicted their challenge to the obsessive and dark side of humans. Is the screen name esoteric and inappropriate for this board? Probably, but I would have been happy to hear and discuss concerns in a PM, rather than being called out in a public forum. I'm a good size guy and have worked as a roadie and security at rock concerts, but have also had my ass kicked by groups of neo-nazis because of my ancestry. I could request to have the screen name changed, although I'm not sure that is possible. Given the passive aggressive nature of many on this board, it probably makes more sense to simply leave. I had great fun on GBN, that is where I met Elena, and if that site is still functioning maybe those folks are more capable of rational discussions and a mature approach toward airing grievances. .

Okay - this is a forum. Why can't everyone just be who they are. People are allowed to critize your screen name - admit it, it is contraversial. You have the right to your screen name and your personality - it is you, whether I or anyone else like it. This is not a popularity contest. There are several people here who rub me the wrong way. I can live with that and you can too. (Did I spell "contraversial" right?)

If we judge each other solely based upon someone's screen name or their board personality, then none of us would get laid.
There's a guy in another forum that has something in his signature about NA Indians, it bothers me, but I let it go.
We honestly need to stop judging each other and just have fun. On the board or off.
