Encounter: LE Warning!!!

Maybe -- I am not an AMP expert. It seems that there are so many, and the results of a visit seem pretty predictable. I know that NM law essentially keeps LE out (unless they are undercover), but my instincts -- and only my instincts, nothing else -- are that they will be come a target for LE at some point -- maybe the next mayoral election year.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just assume that our politicos and police administration are pretty clear on what goes on inside an AMP. That means that political opportunism alone will make a crackdown inevitable at some point. Anyway, whether my instincts are solid, or paranoid, that was my first reaction to Titman's post.

I occasionally visit AMPs, and honestly, the uptick in Covid cases makes me more nervous than the harassment that Titman faced. What a crazy time we live in...I miss 2017 and 2018, lol...

The Covid “uptick” is not being fully explained. Too much of the Reservations numbers are being included in the state as a whole. A map of hotspots shows comparitively small and dwindling numbers outside the reservation.

Also seems most of Bernco uptick is homeless shelter and MDC

I would agree with that. Certainly not enough numbers to justify the devestion to our state economy and private enterprise.

if you can, when you can, tell us some more details. such as...
3 unmarked cars. did they all swoop at once? dashtop flashing lights?
did they ID what org? show any badges? did you see any uniforms?
how many were there? all men?
what time of day or night did it happen?
what, exactly, was the warning they gave?

these are just a few of the questions that come up, for me

Hey fellas, I'm not upset about anything....sorry to push that vibe .....pulled over by one car....explorer. no roof lights....but I had three in a hurry. APD officers, it's was dark...didn't really pay attention to uniforms for all...but the one who approached the vehicle was uniformed. The other two vehicles were the larger chevy suvs....with no lights. Pulled me over for an improper lane change. Lame duck for sure .....no ticket.

They were looking for someone in particular. Its the only thing that makes sense. Illegal lane change was the easiest excuse to see if you were him/them.

It is the ONLY thing that makes sense.
Feds can only initiate action if a Federal offense is being committed, if they were present. Most likely ABQ shaking the trees to see if any fruit falls out.

Be that as it may, when I see police presence I steer clear. I don't trust them.
