I can't imagine why anyone would have any interest in watching either Roseanne or Rosie. Truly hard to decide which one is less appealing--both visually and for what they have to say. Two examples of wasted electricity and electrons.

Melania Trump has been on a crusade against elementary aged bullies. It’s her #1 issue. Roseanne is not a conservative. Neither is Trump. He’s a Populist. But Roseanne is a Trump supporter and voted for him. A lot of people who agree with Roseanne also voted for Trump. That’s why the show was so popular. It’s not about trashing Trump.

I, for one, could not care less what surprises you. Take your irony and stick it in your ear.

Personally, I think its clever how the writers have woven a cross-dressing (or gay?) grandson and a black granddaughter into the new storyline. That alone will make for good storytelling....

I watch a fraction of Network television these days...this one, however, I'll make a point to watch. Goodman's a good actor; I've enjoyed his work for years. For that reason alone I'll support this show and wish him and the rest of the cast Good Luck on this new venture....pro-or-anti Trump overtones or not....
