He got a complaint from a gay newspaper. (I didn't even know there was such a thing. Wonder what sets it apart from the straight news???)

I meant compare that with today's PC world when a slip of the tongue can ruin people, online petitions, death threats, etc. It would be all over social media. hashtags and the like.
