That's what the source for that image said (and what I was looking for when I decided on that movie for my scene). I suppose there's a small chance it might be from El Mariachi, but I meant for it to be Desperado.

Your serve again.

Rules question (in case I ever get a second chance): are we limited to theatrical releases, or does direct-to-video count too?

Cheers,

bcg

If it's a commercial movie, it's fair game - theatrical release or direct to video.

Old school as in Plato's Academy.

That's Bergman's The Seventh Seal.

.

Plenty of challenge for me. I've got nothing. That scar on his chin looks familiar though.

I shouldn't drop hints, but the chin itself should look very familiar.

Lol, well I was also about to say he resembles a young Bruce Campbell, but I'm not familiar with any of his movies except the Evil Dead series. I'm quite sure it's not Army of Darkness so I'll guess Evil Dead 2 since I have no better guess, even though I don't think it's correct.

As well he should resemble Bruce Campbell, since he is Bruce, noted author of If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor and the soon-to-be-released Hail to the Chin: Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor. It's not Evil Dead 2 (I don't recall Bruce wearing a suit and tie in any of the Evil Dead movies).

A couple other hints... Bruce and the lady appearing in this scene are basically doing cameos, and the film itself is a sequel to one you like (I believe) for catering to your foot fetish...

Cheers,

bcg

Aha, I know the one you mean now. But I have already guessed so will leave it to someone else...

Judges say close enough. It's "From Dusk till Dawn 2" however. Your turn Rollypolly!

Aside: Seems like there is a grammatical error in that title. I never noticed. I don't think the contracted form of 'until' ('til) has two Ls does it?

Yes, I know I'm pedantic.

Well, if you want to get really pedantic, the full title is From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money.

The scene I chose was Bruce Campbell and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen doing a cameo as a pair of sleazy lawyers who walk into an elevator in a high rise office building, and as they're riding the elevator up, a huge flock of bats (do bats flock? You know what I mean...) fly up the elevator shaft, get into the elevator car, and tear Mr. Campbell and Ms. Thiessen to pieces. That scene prompted at least one critic to remark that someone in the production staff must have really hated Ms. Thiessen to hire her for a scene lasting about a minute and a half which featured her being bloodily torn apart by bats. (Of course, being the cult favorite that he is, we'd expect such a casting for Bruce Campbell...).

And then to add insult to injury, the Campbell-Thiessen scene is from a movie-in-the-movie that Robert Patrick's character is watching during the opening scenes...

Cheers,

bcg
