the outcome, issue, or result of anything:

Seems like an event to me.

Apparently you didn't have to be extracted off the top of your residence and evacuated to a remote location with the clothes on your back to remain there "until further notice" before you can return to attempt to salvage what remains of your belongings and residence (if you own it in the first place).

So the next time you attend a "concert" remember: Harvey.

Granted the "word" fits the dictionary definition, but so does a Texans' game. It avoids the breadth and scope of the catastrophe and marginalizes it by putting it on the same level as a concert.

What word would you like to use to dramatize the situation to your liking?

Lexus,

It's a tragedy. So who said something to get you riled up?

I'm not "riled up"!

How many times have you heard "event" in the past week?

It's like "skill set" ... how many times have you heard that recently?

It's a "trendy" reference to an epic catastrophe that marginalizes it.

"Skill set" doesn't adequately and accurately identify natural talent based on mind and body coordination.

Sorry, dick sucker .... most of the people I know got flooded off their farms, out of their businesses, and from their homes.

I'm still helping some folks who have no electricity, but still have their homes and are able to survive in them with small children. My office building took water in the first floor, but the equipment, furniture, and records were secured by elevation.

I'm monitoring one on an rescue effort right now and periodically checking on the residence of an EMT who is working some long hours .... I have bought food and supplies for others. We can do that because I know how and we have vehicles that will get through the "wet spots"!

When things get settled down and the "shine is gone" we will assist with the evacuees at the shelters just like we did for Katrina refugees.

Now punk go fuck yourself.

Dick head Trey is the moron that said Harvey was a nice change, in another thread I guess he is tired of the Trump bashing in the news

It's a Weather event. That's not an improper term. But with people and property in it's wake it becomes catastrophic and this Hurricane was catastrophic in the highest sense of the word. I understand your point. It's only an event until your faced with it. The sad thing is we'll see another one quite similar much sooner than later in a different location of the U.S.

Nice story, LLephantMan. I want to believe that you're helping. I can't imagine anyone in Texas not helping.

We've been helping here too. And I've got lots of friends and family out of their homes; one whose shelter in the Beaumont area also flooded and had to be moved yet again.

I think people down here know the score.

But in light of your, errr, disability, why should we believe a word you say? In any EVENT, these an excellent chance you're being neither accurate nor factual.

Sucks, but that's the person you've chosen to be.

Prayers for Houston and the entire coast.

Butt fuck you...
