The real point that should be seen is that despite the races of the players on the democratic side, they all enspouse the same progressive/liberal philosophy.
The republicans, for all their weaknesses, do have philosophical diversity which in the long run is a strength.
Tell a democrat to have diversity in their diet and they will line up a dozen different kind of apples of different colors. That is diversity to them.
A republican will have pears (even if they don't like them), oranges (even if they have too much sugar), and the occasional avocado (a nod to the Hispanics) along with the apples.
