And roach too. They’ll likely get in as a 8 or 9 seed so even if they win the first game it’s going to be hard to win the second game. They still need 20 ws to be considered a threat though

Nice win yesterday but the loss to Tech was typical of a team that just can't close. We missed 5-6 FT's including Coleman missing 3-3. Dillon O looked ridiculous and embarrassing with his cornrolls. He was arguably my favorite player. Bamba showed a couple post up moves with the baby power hook in front of the rim. He needs to be able to do that at will. He would score 20+ a game. Confused at his 10 a game. Saying that...I think he's the best rim protector in the NBA right now. He already set a single season block shot record with all these games to go. And UT has had some really big shot blockers. Hell, Durant is 3rd in the NBA this season.

A little off the subject but Rick Barnes is doing a great job in TN. Ranked for the 1st time in 10 years as they had gone to shit. They are ranked # 15 and beat KY last night. I always liked Rick (met him several times and was able to have 5-10 min conversations) but the move was good for him and TX.

I agree. I am a college basketball fanatic and I've been impressed with the coaching job he is doing at Tennessee. Ironically, Bruce Pearl, who used to coach at Tennessee, is doing an incredible job at Auburn.

True on that. Super big choke last night. I was actually pissed. These guys just kept chucking up 3's and making none. At one point I saw we were 2-13 in the 2nd half. I doubt we improved on the %. Bamba had 15 points and 7 rebounds at half and ended up with 18 and 8. So 3 points and 1 rebound the 2nd half. We simply half to beat K State at home and we choked. They put together a 15-5 run toward the end as we simply could not get stops against an average team. Everybody looked low energy and MEH. Roach particularly looked like SHIT! Very FRUSTRATING!

TCU made us look stupid and they were missing Fisher their star PG. Without Bamba we would be as bad as last year.

I don’t believe that whole “if whoever wins moves up 30%” they have the same record or did. Texas last games are harder. It will all depend on how they do in the big 12 tournament honestly. Id be hard pressed to say Baylor has a greater chance of getting in. Id say both shouldn’t get in.

Big matchup tonight with Oklahoma playing in Lubbock. Tech getting the win stretches the lead even more in the Big 12 regular season.

Hard to put the loss on Davis but missing both of those FT's at the end sent it to OT. This loss didn't piss me off as much as the last one as we did play hard. We just aren't any fucking good. Smart came here with a rep for good D and we haven't had a good D team since he's been here. Barnes ALWAYS had a good D. We just don't get ANY fast break points. We don't force turnovers either ( see no fast break points). I don't get it.

Hard to explain the free-fall UT is in. Osetkowski has not played well in most recent games. Coleman is very inconsistent. Roach too. Team still depends too much on 3-pointers when they are not a good 3-point shooting team. Losing AJ did not help.

But you are right about the defense. A team with these athletes should not be giving up that many points game after game.

Nice comeback and last second win this afternoon (ie: beating OK St 65-64)....

Can't understand the run OSU went on to begin the second half (down by 5 at the half only to go up by 10 before Texas went on their comeback). How can the Horns come out of the locker room after halftime and be so cold? tsk tsk

Anyways...if they have any designs on an at large berth (which is dicey) they need to secure an 8th W in Big 12 play (@KAN) or (WVA@) to have a chance. Both will be difficult games needless to say.

They start the game down 7-0 and the same thing in the 2nd half. WTF? Bamba out for his toe isn't good. Yes they need to beat WV at home. KS away is about a 10% chance.
