I don't post here much but thought I'd share this anyway because I find it really odd. Maybe someone here can explain this or verify that it happens to them as well.

I have noticed that when I search Google for "backpage sa" and then go to DuckDuckGo and search for "backpage sa", I get two different backpages but both are for San Antonio.

Is there anything to this or does it have something to do with the search engines? Is one bringing up a more recent version of the page or something?

I did your searches and come up with the same backpage from each. Only difference is that google provides links to subpages of BP, while duck provides the home page link.

Oh, and this is not an Alert.

Cannot swear to my conclusion, but given that there are many sites out there "scraping" content off backpage, my gut says good possibilites are that those sites are ultimately connected to backpage more than we might otherwise think. But, not sure if we should care much.

What I noticed is they don't go making creative titles anymore, every ad is just a phone number, maybe a link to some social media and that's it, I guess they got cracked down on even more

I thought that was weird too. The dating section is all phone numbers, while the massage area still has the creative titles.
