My concern is THE FUTURE. And ignoring history or attempting to revise it to justify one's goals, policies, and/or political decisions will result in failures on all fronts.
It doesn't really matter WHY people try to sneak into our country, any more than it does why it matters to Mexico why anyone sneaks into their country. They don't allow it. And there are numerous consequences for doing so from beatings, torture, death, and/or having all of your shit stolen.
This country like any other has a RIGHT to control its borders and to control those noncitizens who seek to remain in this country beyond their invited period. You don't have a right to come onto my property without my permission and you don't have the right to stay on my property after your permission to remain here has been withdrawn.
There is NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER.
Furthermore, this country like any other has a right to decide who gets what assistance. The President is responsible for conducting foreign policy through the President's administration. It's a gift not an entitlement.
