Default Am I the only one....

whose been screaming at the tv this morning??!!!!....

Between the miss-called goal, the elbow-mouth hit, and loads of other blatant fouls made by the Algerian team.... I don't think I've ever screamed at a television before!

And then that sweet goal! wooohooooo!

My shouting after that goal scared my son.....he came running out of his bedroom thinking I hurt myself.

God, this FIFA stuff is going to be the death of me....lol

I think you probably are the only one. Soccer isn't a sport. But take heart, football season is right around the corner.

The only time I enjoy soccer is during the World Cup. Too few goals and too few goal opportunities in a 90 minute match. But I have to admit I went a little nuts when Donovan scored the goal at the end of the match. Wouldn't watch a complete hockey game if you paid me, unless in person.
Same goes for NASCAR, with the only difference being I would never be there in person either.

But I agree with everything else you say. We were robbed once and almost robbed again this morning. Makes you wonder if the refs have it in for the U.S. I guess we play Ghana on Saturday afternoon (here). Sounds like a winable match-up.

the only reason I want the US to win is because it would piss off teh rest of the world. Otherwise I dont care about soccer.

Soccer. Isn't that the game where players go around kicking each other in the shin while incidentally moving a ball around? At least that's what I recall from high school PE.

7 minutes into the 2006 World Cup France-Italy match Zinedine Zidane headbutted Marco Materazzi off his feet to the ground; best soccer moment ever.

The worst thing I hate about soccer is the acting. Makes NBA players look like amateur actors -- falling down whenever anybody comes close to them in order to draw a foul. I would love to have the referees be able to go to instant replay on the fouls and if the player is acting he gets a yellow card.

Listening to KLBJ on the drive home and they were talking about some soccer player with 5 multiple shots on goal - me thinks "wow, what a session!"

There are only two words thats recognized by every human being on the planet including Nomads living in outer Mongolia:

1. Coke
2. Football

And no, when say Football they dont mean the sport America refers to. They mean Football, the sport thats played with the foot...

And yes, it is a sport because about 3 billion people tuned in to watch the opening game of the world cup.
