Default FBI concerned over potential 'organised attack' in US after Russian concert hall shooting

FBI concerned over potential 'organised attack' in US after Russian concert hall shooting

The FBI warns of a potential coordinated attack in the US similar to the Russian concert hall incident, which claimed at least 144 lives.
Putin blames Ukraine, while an ISIS branch claims responsibility for the attack in Russia.
FBI Director advocates for renewal of American surveillance program to combat adversaries.

I completely get the concern. The US wants all mass shootings to be conducted by disaffected american white men! No terrorists allowed. For the evangelicals, we know that's what jesus wants too.

Mass shootings in the U.S.: shooters by gender, as of December 2023
Published by Statista Research Department, Jan 29, 2024
Since 1982, an astonishing 143 mass shootings have been carried out in the United States by male shooters. In contrast, only four mass shootings (defined by the source as a single attack in a public place in which four or more victims were killed) have been carried out by women.

I’m not sure about race, but mass shooters are almost always male. Also, nobody wants mass killings whether perpetrated by men or women.

Just a couple of week ends in Chicago, LA, and Houston top all the mass shootings that have occurred in the past decade.

While mass shooters are almost all male, between 85 and 90 percent of all black shooting victims were shot by another black, mainly black men.

Black men make up about 9 percent of the US population, but account for between 60 and 70 percent of gun deaths.

Plus, close to 40% of gun deaths among whites are not murder, but suicide.

The only ones who are ever going to stop black on black crime are the blacks themselves.

So who's going to stop the mass shootings by the white male perpetrators? The whites themselves?

Good job trying to make it as much about race as possible. My point that white males account for far more mass shootings that any other party stands.

What's your point? "well, yeah, but look at the blacks!"

Could have fooled me. I guess we will have to wait for thoughts and prayers to start working.

Yours is….”look at the whites”

Between 1982 and 2023, a total of 1149 people were fatally shot in what the FBI classifies as mass shootings.

There were over 21,000 murders by firearm in the US in just 2022. 60 percent of these were perpetrated by black men.

So, what’s your point. Blacks killing blacks is acceptable, but whites killing anybody is not?

If you were fooled to know nobody wants mass shooting, why do you think:

You mean "rage poster" as in the people on here that have 10K> posts in the politics forum? Please. Spare the outrage.

My point in the above was meant to be snark, in that we headline a suspected mass attack from terrorists, when the real problem is already here.

My identity is just fine. You know where the ignore button is if you don't like it. Oh look...right next to your name.

We've seen your snark here before. It wasn't funny. Interesting. Nor informative. Please try again, newbie. If you are one.

I've only ignored one account on here. You're nowhere near worth being ignored. At least you can write. Even if it doesn't make sense.

This is all one big joke.

The FBI is worried about some ass hole blowing a bunch of people up when we have thousands coming across our borders every week, most of whom we don’t have a clue as to their intentions.

Of course, it is a lot easier to harass pissed off parents at a city council meeting, calling them “domestic terrorist”, than it is to address the real problems.

As for Biden and his Lackeys in the press screaming about how the republicans blocked a major immigration bill. That’s bullshit as well. All it would be is another law for Biden to ignore.

He instituted the current border fiasco with executive orders, he could fix it with executive orders.

Joe Biden is a long time legislator. He knows that passing a law will last a much longer time than an executive order. Maybe he could fix the problem with an executive order but it is much more likely to have legal issues than a new law would. What is the problem with so many people who can’t see the importance of cooperation and compromise?

We had a good bill in hand but Trump scuttled it because he wanted to use the issue to scare people into voting for him.

But i’ve gone a little off topic. To get back on track let me finish up with this. If you really want to keep potential terrorists from coming over the southern border why don’t you support the new border bill which would provide more funding for border patrol officers. You could also support the renewal of Section 702 of the fisa act so that maybe we could stop any attempt before it hits our shores. I know this is uncomfortable for some people to hear but government does have it’s uses.

Trump also had the border under a reasonable amount of control, But Biden signed all of that away his first week in office.

We are paying for it now.

I suppose soon we will start hearing the Democrats revisionist history version of how Biden did not cancel Trumps entire agenda that first week. They will do it because they think the voters are too stupid to remember.

Not from me you won’t. The Biden administration did make a number of mistakes at the border during their first year. However I would argue the effect of the changes were disproportionate to the expected result. I’m not going to defend their actions on this issue but I can’t defend Trump’s and his acolytes actions either. This is a problem we can fix if people would get their heads out of their asses and vote in the new border bill.

They could fix the Border Crisis but they don't want to. The reason Christopher Wray is concerned about a Terrorist attack is because that's what might happen. If it does they'll call for Martial Law and halt the election. If they can't cheat again they have to do something to keep Trump out of Office.
