The 8th Amendment In The Bill Of Rights.
If any of you happened to watch Laura Ingraham last night, she had a great town hall with Former President Trump.
During the questions concerning his financial situation with the fines and bail, he calmly pulled out a copy and read the 8Th Amendment.
This was the first time any one has mentioned it.

This is a classic example of an excessive fine. And that's what it is, a fine. The money's not going to compensate the banks which Trump allegedly defrauded. It's going to the coffers of the state of New York.

Like it or not, the 8th Amendment was put in the Bill of Rights for this very reason.
This will end up before the Supreme Court.
This case could be to the 8th what Miranda was to the 5th.

The 355 million Dollar fine was imposed by that Judge for the intended purpose of harming Trump financially. Now Trump may still have to fork over some money but the 8th Amendment maybe the difference between 355 million and a fraction of that.

Perhaps Trump should be able to have his Justice Dept file charges against this clown judge and the Attorney General James for violating his civil rights under the 8th Amendment. After all, they are Government Offocials.
Just as when a police officer violates a suspects civil rights for a violation of his rights and has charges brought, this judge and prosecutor should be subjected to the same culpability in violating a citizens rights under the 8th Amendment.
