Your question needs to be more specific. Different how? This is the oldest profession and it basically trades service for money. Or at least something on which the lady can live. And I don't think the profession has changed substantially since the beginning of time. But just in nuances.

Now, if you're talking legality, there's probably a wide variation outside the US. Amsterdam has brothels while it's probably a death sentence in many Muslim countries.

I can only speak for the places I've worked in....UK, France, & Dubai...Most of my time in London....you don't really screen over there, as cops aren't worried about escorts...As long as you're not walking the streets...It's much more laid back, the industry is huge over there, so there is a lot of variety! I love escorting abroad.....

I actually don´t hobby in the States because of legality and safety issues, so that is how it´s mainly different in my case, not having to deal with Law Enforcement or getting ripped off is a huge deal for me.

I mainly hobby in Chile where it is legal and the main difference is the screening process, the system of using references is much less widespread. For girls who publish online you usually call them and visit their incall, the receptionist of the building/hotel will usually be aware of what´s going on and may take down your information, requesting ID, so there usually aren´t any problems regarding the provider´s safety.


The only time i´ve actually used references is for providers who work in strip clubs, in order to see them outside the club, usually a mutual friend will tell them that i´m OK.
