Default Kaepernick pays off for. Nike!!!

Well that campaign really brought Nike to its knees!

Nike’s marketing quickly paid off for its shareholders, in true capitalistic fashion. I wonder how much Nike stock is held by the Royal Family? LOL!

Keep burning those shoes, football fans! Just Do It!

Colin Kaepernick is Nike's $6 billion man - CBS Newshttps://apple.news/Afy763fR-Q2ytqjlCgyS8Dw

Colin Kaepernick is Nike's $6 billion man

The heat Nike has taken over its controversial advertising campaign featuring former NFL start Colin Kaepernick seems to have had another effect: burnishing the iconic brand's appeal to investors.

Nike shares have surged 36 percent on the year, making the company the top performer on the Dow's index of 30 blue-chip stocks. The run-up includes a nearly 5 percent increase since Nike's Labor Day announcement that Kaepernick would be featured in its campaign, adding nearly $6 billion to the company's market value.

The stock continues to hover near an all-time high, which it reached in mid-September only weeks after some Nike customers publicly burned their shoes to express their displeasure at the new ad.

In afternoon trading Nike shares were up slightly to $85.67.

For Nike, the boost eases concerns about the decision to link its brand to the controversial Kaepernick, who in 2016 started kneeling during the national anthem before games to protest racial injustice.

Nike knows its consumer base, which skews younger, said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at B. Riley RBR. "I don't think they just randomly decided to put this ad out, thinking, 'Let's commit political-correctness suicide'."

"People vote with their wallets, and the one clear winner in athletic apparel remains Nike," he said, comparing Nike to Apple in its ability to create demand by rolling out "must-have" products.

Nike did not return a request for comment on Kaepernick's compensation or whether it might be tied to the company's stock performance. But various media accounts peg his pay at millions a year, not bad for a football player no longer playing in the professional ranks.

Its funny they didn't return any comment as to whether Cuntpernick's compensaton or whether it might be tied to the stock performance, once Nike feels it has gained all its going to gain they will discard Cuntpernick like bad product

Wait and see for the real results to unfold.. Like cancelled contracts and not renewing contracts. These results will not show for a couple of quarters.. But they're coming.........

Facts are facts.

For some reason, the right wants to make this all about Kaepernick and not about business.

As I previously stated, Nike knew exactly what it was doing and took a well calculated marketing risk that has paid off BIGLY.

Not for me. I'm not buying another Nike product ever. For me, my family or as a gift.

They chose to lose your business. Obviously they gambled that losing your business wouldn’t hurt them. And so far, they’re winning.

Actually, I think you're confusing "liberal causes" with well-researched marketing by a big corporation.

Nike doesn't give a fuck about your business or mine. I don't think I still have anything Nike, but if I did, it sure as hell wouldn't be because they used Colin Kaepernick or Serena Williams or anybody (who didn't look like me) in their advertising or not.

Believe it or not, not everything has to be a political rallying cry or an assault on anyone's patriotic pride.

The fact that so many heads are exploding over this is what's beginning to make it entertaining.

And people have suggested boycotting Willie Nelson, too. He's next!

LOL!

I don't think we need worry about the NFL.

Dallas Cowboys now worth $4.8 billion, up $600 million from 2017. Patriots value up $300 million from 2017. Giants up $200 million. Redskins up $150 million.

Patriots value up 6% from 2016-2017. Giants up 11%. 49ers up 11%. Redskins up 4%. Jets up 10%.

According to Forbes, NFL franchises make up 29 of the top 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world.

According to the following article, Washington Redskin season ticket sale announcements have always been a sham.
