As a practical matter, the shit that teams get away with to the Pens is far worse than anything the Pens dish out: the Wilson hit last year in the playoffs should've had him gone for the playoffs. What really has to get the haters? In today's day and age, what the Pens did (back to back) will be regarded as more impressive than the Blackhawks run. What Mario did (sink the owed equity into the bankrupt franchise and watch his investment quadruple+ in value) is more shrewd than anything Ed Snider ever dreamed of and is thought of as such by people who know.
