So you're saying all Pakistanis born before 1947 are really Indians? Try telling that to the Pakis.

yeah, Pakis were all Indians before the split in 1947. I wouldn't call them Indians today.

She certainly didn’t treat classified documents the way she should have. Comey had to change his findings to “extremely careless” from extremely negligent. Hence, she shouldn’t have been trusted with it in the first place. People are in jail for doing less.

She should be emensly thankful that is the only thing that happened to here.

She SHOULD be Aldrich Ames' neighbor.

The most recent story I saw now has hellery claimin to have " given up " her clearance in " support ' of Trump not renewing the former CIA Director John Brennan clearance. The story also talks about Admiral William Mcraven volunteering to give up his clearance in support of John Brennan's clearnce being cancelled by PRESIDENT Trump. Not that Mcraven, the new head of U.T Austin, needs a clearance anymore if he's not working for the D.O.D. or other branch of the FEDERAL govenrment where it's needed.

What I do not understand is why when one is out of office would they still need security clearance? Shouldn't the clearance be ended when the holder of the clearance is no longer in a position where it is needed?

its a just in case thing that current govt. officials need to consult with the former officers/officials about some policy decisions they made or get some consulting advice over policy or tactic.

so, we have a system where a lot of former officials still have security clearances after leaving service.

this is a policy that really needs to end or at least changed. I can see maybe a limited use say like 6 months from separation. 2 years after separation is too long.

It sure works that way fer the military. Except for Admiral ( ret.) McKraven, who said he'd " give his up " in support of odummer's CIA Director, who was instrumental in promoting the " Russian collusion " angle that the Lib'ral liars and media SWEAR is why hellery lost the election.
