I think it's a combination of time of the year (taxes were due for many), Memorial Day holiday, and school is over and vacation and summer starting. Some old timers have said this is just a slow time of the year traditionally for reasons I mentioned. I also suspect the LE stings and AMP busts have spooked people.

Yes the week after a holiday is always slow. But tomorrow is payday for 2/3rds of the known universe so....

Tornadoes ,bad weather, flooding doesn't help either. I had some issues after the tornado but nothing like those folks in Linwood.

Good point oldman. I have noticed the MO/KS sections are dead during extreme weather, and have also noticed a subsequent lull in encounter report submissions.

Yes I understand all these responses. I posted in wishes in kansas for all our friends affected out there. Im close to the track right now. My friend had a few tiles ripped off so he got quite lucky.

I think,like said above,weather and taxes and personal shit has a big influence on the hobby....thats why I luv luv luv my repeat friends sooooooo much!

And summer is coming so the hobby usually gets slow in midwest then....thats why I travel south..lol

Eccie just hasn't been the same since the last big temporary shutdown and rule change... No new talent has been coming in, and a lot of people left, so it's just the same 20 people talking to each other now. :/

I guess I'll put my two cents in on this. As a some what new peron to the hobby I will say welcome I received wasn't very warm. Which at the time just confused me now that I know more about recent happenings I do understand it better also I'm a bit of a lurker as text chatting is not really my thing

Well, there's nothing wrong with being a lurker. 2 posts per year average is impressive. I'm a member on a big gun forum and made my first post (and only post so far) after being a member for over 10 years. I flamed the resident forum troll and it was well received lol.
