Default Movie

Should be lots of room in the theater is my guess.

Likely will go straight to DVD or perhaps be propped up by L.Ron Hubbard stuff by the Kochs and their rich friends.

It was absolutely fucking awesome. I went to the very first showing at the only theater in KC it is playing. Completely true to the book! This is only the first of the trilogy, it was made for 10mill by a private citizen who felt it needed to be made.

Are the bits with Galt a leeeetle bit cartoony? Yes. Did not make a difference. I laughed, I cried, I shook my fist at the screen.

Long live the free market!!!!!!!!!!

Fine.

Laissez-faire capitalism for some, little American flags for others!

(If you know where that is from you win!)

Default Regulation

Actually Railroads destroyed themselves operating in a free market and had to be regulated by the ICC starting in the 1880's. Also had predatory competitive issues, captive shippers, and fostered the Robber Barons.

Most dangerous career at the time and the death rate for workers was phenominally high.

Oh well the individual triumphs.

Blah blah blah.

Has nothing to do with the movie.

Obviously you have not read the book, and your snippy little comments reinforce my belief that people who don't like Rand just aren't capable of understanding her.

This includes 90% of the people who post regularly in this forum.

I'd like to point out that none of you had the balls to respond to http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=205554.

XOXOXOXOX

Default Ball and a Post

I have made it very clear in prior posts that I never once got the fucking answer about when a train leaving Cleveland at 60 mph meets one from Chicago running at 37. I never even try.

LaCrew gave me the answer of 42 and I am sticking to it as he has a lot of cred in this area.

I am not sitting around with a bunch of right wing fringe tea baggerz and playing how to destroy the government in order to save it.

I am willing to the let the Gang of Six and the Deficit Commission do their job.

Tea Baggers and Objectivist Libertarians are NOT even remotely the same thing.

Default Difference

They seem to think that they are kin and that is the issue. Social twerps that hid behind fiscal twerps and now you need voter I.D's, Parental permission for Abortion, attacking unions and you must unravel any social program ever passed in order to keep your cred. Ok to default on credit and shut the government down just to get reelected and renominated by the rabble.

Careful who you associate with and careful what you wish for you might get tainted by the experience.

Only the ignorant (which really does cover all of the tea baggers) think they are similar.

Just a bunch of poorly educated trash trying to use Rand's very exceptional coattails for notoriety.

And sadly, succeeding.

Lilliana; you have forced me to the brink. You have made consider the worst I can think. I have no choice and I must now brand you in the most horrible way. I have no guilt from this as you are the cause of your own branding.

Henceforth ye shall bear the name.....Galt'sWoman.

If I were you I would buy a set of good sunglasses and a burka.

Nice play on The Simpsons, btw!
