In addition to parts for solar panels, windmills and electric cars, large amounts of carbon based fuels are used in processing lithium, cobalt and nickel, used for batteries, from ore.
Sometimes it's best to just leave well enough alone.

Would you please cite any document that states the goal is to get to 0% emissions anytime in the near future. The reference I can find is to reach that level between 2080-2100. A nice goal subject to change.

The only way 0% emissions can be achieved is if Mankind is extinct. In the meantime we can reduce it and manage it.

Which is the real goal in every endeavor of govt. We aim for 0 emissions or 0 fiscal waste or 0 deficits and debt but if we reduce them significantly that’s an achievement.

Comment - liberal response - 'Oh, we did not think of that"
no big deal - our ideology matters more than facts and truth!

Perhaps 1b1 has a point.
the problem with the Earth - is too many naked apes upon it.

Mammalian Breathing creates carbon dioxide!!!

AOC and her -re-education camps- plan at least a 100 million person reduction.

All animal breathing, technically. And then there's the other gases they give off too.

However, plants need that CO2 to survive. So if all the animals die, eventually the plants will die if CO2 levels in a given area get too low.

wtf - keep breathing - and exhaling noxious toxic pollutant gases - as do all human beings.

AOC will come for you too, for her re-education camps.

It's all about power. The people who push all this bullshit are in big trouble.

It is very similar to the economist who said Trumps tax cuts would increase economic growth and investment.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/12/05/us-t...ts-report.html

The 2017 tax cuts dramatically alter the U.S. tax landscape for the first time in decades, though the promised surge in economic growth and investment does not result.

You've got a point. I should have said 0% NET emissions.

Joe Biden - "net-zero emissions no later than 2050" https://joebiden.com/climate-plan/

The Green New Deal, which Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Kobuchar, and Kirsten Gillibrand signed onto, among others, calls for phasing out all fossil fuel extraction by 2030: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_New_Deal#Senators

Kamala Harris' campaign called for a net-zero carbon economy by 2045, and 100% carbon neutral buildings and zero emission vehicles by 2030. https://www.downtoearth.org.in/blog/...-leader--73379

Buttigieg like Biden was proposing net zero emissions by 2050: https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...te-change-plan

I believe you said that about George H. W. Bush's tax increase. You imply it above in Post #133.

Hey, we both want to cut the deficits, it's a matter of how you go about doing it.

As I've posted repeatedly, along with evidence to back it up, the wealthiest developed countries in the world, cutting out small places and petro states, are the ones with the lowest taxes.
