with every state primary that passes, a brokered/contested convention looks more likely. . . with the buffoon predicting riots at the convention. hahahaha

Even if everything you say about Republicans being racists is true, how does your divisive language and tone help the situation?
What if a person who is clearly not racist said that multiculturalism is not a unifying concept - would that alert you to the pointlessness of persuing such a scheme?

Hmmmmm
I don't think that is going to happen. The Trumpsters - people like me - have made it clear to the Republican party that if Mr. Trump does not get the nomination then we don't vote. Period. And that scares them.

And if he does get the nomination, a lot of turned-off Republicans won't vote either. Does that scare you?

Hmmmm
No, not really. That would be the base you are talking about. The religious right wingers. I think they would come to their senses if the alternative was Hillary or worse - Bernie.

You mean like they came to their senses in 2012?
And it's a lot bigger than the so-called "base". I keep waiting for Trump to start acting Presidential but it ain't happening. He has zero impulse control. His kids behave better than he does. I want a candidate who lacks Obama's narcissism and arrogance and pettiness, not someone who shares them in spades.
And Trump doesn't exactly look like a winner in the national polls either. Right now he can't even beat a congenital liar with zero charisma. He is losing to Hildabeast by 11 points at a time when voters are desperate for an alternative. Even John Fucking Kasich is beating Hillary's repulsive lying ass by a wide margin in the national polls.

The only way Trump gets the nomination is to get to 1237. Looks like he'll get beat in Wisconsin and is tied with Kasich in Pa. I doubt he'll get there. He has zero chance at an open convention. Either way, the Republicans have once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. One can only hope that somehow they can put up a united front. Doesn't look promising.

Hmmmm
Well, let me tell you what I think. I did not vote in the last 2 elections because there wasn't anybody I thought worthy of being President. I just registered 1 month ago to get current so I could vote for Trump in the main election. There are lots and lots of people who are are like me that are going to show up on the Republican voter rolls that will vote Trump because they didn't vote in the last election. Now having said that - I vote for who I think is worthy and I do cross party lines - I voted for Ann Richards back in the day when she ran for Governor. I loved her. And I love Trump. That is just my opinion.
This has been an interesting thread. I would hope that everyone could post about who they want without getting ugly about it but alas, I see that is not the case.

If Trump doesn't get to 1237, why would he have "zero chance at an open convention"? Before a second-round ballot is cast, each of the candidates would be working to shore up their own delegates while trying to poach everyone else's. Trump would have the presumed advantage since he had the most first-ballot votes (although not enough to win outright). Are you telling me the guy who wrote The Art of the Deal can't schmooze and horse-trade enough to pull off a win on the second or third ballot at the convention?
If he blows it, it will be his own fault. Of course he will blame the "establishment" to justify running as a 3rd-party candidate and hand the election to the Hildabeast.

Nothing anyone can do. If there is a brokered convention and Trump can't rightfully obtain the nomination then it confirms to me a few things about our country and the election process. Elections are easily rigged and Trump is a threat to the Republican Party, not the country and it's people. He's also not a puppet on a string which is what they really want.

You can't make a deal with people that don't want to deal with you. Who's going to deal with Trump? Cruz? Kasich? Rubio? None of the above. Trump stepped on one too many dicks. Including his own.
