That was some story.

I'm pretty sure poplips knew what he was getting into. I'm also guessing he'll be fine. The rest of the actors in this train wreck, good luck to them.
Pretty good RL drama tho thx for the update.

Yes poplips, thanks for your honesty to see a side of the hobby we may not always want to know about.

Get tested for HIV/AIDS and any other STDs, put her in the rearview mirror, and don't look back.
You can't save em, you can't help em, they can only drag you down with them.

good read,
poplips,
If you get close to one or more again, you may now know the where the edge of too close is. Pick with care, go slower, never try to save. Also you where wrong as to who can save her. As only she can do that. The limits will always be a moving target.

Oh my god, you guys.
Am i the only one who thinks the extensive detailing of this girl's personal life is obscene?

Isn't this a form of outing?
Isn't this a huge case of "told you so"?

Wow. Hit way too close to home with me. Believe it or not, I was not always so jaded and misogynistic like i am now. I actually was an idealist and innocent until i got swallowed up by this hobby of ours. Poplips - you are not a newbie to this game so you must have known where there is PT and sex work involved, there will ALWAYS be trouble. Now that is a blanket statement that even Jack or DD won't bitch at me about making. I really do understand what it feels like to have this happen - i had almost the exact same thing happen a year or so ago - JB and OSD probably remember how messed up I was about the fallout when I met them at the AC. The only thing to do is hit the accelerator and leave her in your rearview mirror because if you don't you WILL crash and burn with her.

It's odd, intergalactic drives have brought me outside her orbit that she is not even a subatomic particle in the the rearview window. I often thought if this information would Expose too much. I think it only showed somebody who is lost, the extremes of backpage, the misconduct and poor judgment of a John. It's a story like many stories that are ours. This girl will forget who I was, my name, what I used to say, how I used to feel inside her if it ever registered for her, forget the things we promised each other, the comfort we found in each other if briefly. I don't believe in life there is ever an "I told you so." We never get old enough to be wise. A year ago if someone told me my hobby days would cumulate in this experience I would have doubted it, since I would say I am too keen on human manipulation, but I found myself doing things that repelled me, hoped for things I never would hve thought I'd find myself hoping for, and discovered an aspect of humanity that before now was a fabled and imagined place. The writer that writes in the first person as a prostitute may sound like he got it right, but then again, it's not like his readers are obsevant prostitutes and if they were maybe his stuff wouldn't sell. Hey guys, thanks for all the advice.

These candid disclosures of the negative consequences of crossing the line in this hobby (with or without PT as a complicating factor) are much appreciated. They serve as important cautionary tales for the rest of us to learn from.
Being old and firmly domesticated, it is easy for me to preach the importance of practicing self-discipline and reality-checking. It might be more challenging for the younger and unattached hobbyist.
The "relationship" we should strive to maintain with the ladies is a cordial and empathic one - for the duration of each appointment. Other attitudes that have been expressed around here, such as emotional attachment on one extreme or utter contempt on the other, will spoil the fun.
