As has been said many times before, supply and mostly demand set the price. If everyone thought the way you did and would not pay over, say, $100 for an hour with a provider, the providers would either walk away from their current livlihood or drop their prices. From what I've seen, there are many guys out there who see the value in paying $200, $300, and even more for an hour.

As Naomi said, she would not work for $100/hour. As long as she can make more for doing what she does, there is no reason to accept less.
