No, there are currently not any other local PGH "discussion" and "thread" hobby-boards besides Eccie. There are many more "street" provider Ad-sites, and 15 years ago the only "street" ad sites were CL and BP. So the online hobby-world now, at least in PGH, has only one (1) "hobby discussion" board in Eccie and many more "street" provider ad posting sites like the old CL and BP....

There are not "discussion" and "review" and "Guys Room" and "Co Ed Vouched" sections on SA. SA tries to maintain the "veneer" of being a "dating" site when in reality it is a "dating" and "pay per play" site for 1.) "civilian" girls who don't want to think of themselves as hookers and 2.) totally realistic local girls who KNOW what the whole "pay for play" world entails. SA is an odd mix of totally clueless "civilian" girls who want to send-pics-for-cash (NOPE), Orthodox and Realistic Hookers of PGH, and all the same guys who have been hobbying and posting on ASPD, briefly ERAPS, the long-time Indys, and now Eccie. And SA has No....Discussion and No....Review....Forums and no Guys Room and No Co-Ed Vouched sections for hobby-people to exchange intel. So SA is an Ad-posting site for "newbie" civilian girls and Realistic, Orthodox PGH Hookers....

So, oddly, Eccie now has a "monopoly" of the whole online "hobby" discussion and review world, and even if Eccie PGH is still mostly SA and local "street" analyses. Quite different than 10 and 15 years ago when ASPD and then Eccie was "withering on the vine" compared to all the varied PGH and OH hobby-content posted on Indys....

Specifically there were usually 6 or 10 GTG's every year where PGH hobby people could gather and exchange intel about the hobby. That is what the PGH hobby scene has been missing for years....

Again, Eccie was a topical-thread Waste....Land, with actual Tumbleweeds floating around threads, in the last several years of Indys. It was mostly guys who had been (unjustifiably) Banned by Indys either temporarily or permanently. Vaguely "entertaining", but not really useful for PGH hobbyists. And again, nothing wrong with Bambino or anyone Specifying the particular Scandals and Controversies of Indys....

What is Eccie Pittsburgh now? It's the intel about SA (good for SA guys), all the same Lurid "street" analyses (you bet- Blu Max was a fixture of Eccie, not Indys) and Eccie is STILL about a dozen active posting PGH hobbyists and ten (10) or so actual PGH providers. From spring of 2005 when Indys got it's forums to when Indys folded (and in the last couple years of Indys many guys left Indys for SA) there were Dozens and Dozens of PGH and OH hobbyists and Indys-only PGH and OH hobby-people who were posting on Indys Exclusively....

PGH always benefited from having Two....Hobby...Boards. I think without the old ASPD, briefly ERAPS and then ECCIE then Indys might have banned MORE PGH hobby people. Without ECCIE Indys might have (might have) become another ASPD circa 2004- banning people at will and without any expectation of any consequence. Historically ASPD and the ECCIE "kept in line" Indys, exactly like the early Indys "kept in line" the late ASPD.....

The "varied" PGH hobby scene of yesteryear, specifically the old ASPD pre-2005 and then Indys 2005 to 2010 or so, time does not exist anymore. Now Eccie is about a dozen or so PGH hobby-guys and ten or less PGH providers posting variably- Eccie is the same as it ever was. SA and FOSTA changed everything. PGH hobby-people are "doing their own thing" by themselves now. Eccie is mostly SA and local "street" analysis now. From 2005 to 2010 or so Indys was a very "organized" and (mostly) transparent hobby-community. And for all of that time Eccie was about a dozen PGH hobbyists and about a half dozen or ten or so local PGH providers- the same as it is now....

There’s far more than a dozen regular hobbyists posting here. Girls, not so much. Providers never liked this site. Most of the old Gaurd providers are on Tryst, DirtyGames, Twitter. Non review sites. Kinda makes you wonder where all those kiss ass Indys hobbyists went? Maybe they weren’t hobbyists at all?

I can think of Dozens of long-time PGH and OH hobbyists who posted regularly on ASPD until spring of 2005, then went to Indys and Never posted or even read the late ASPD and brief ERAPS and then Eccie, and they stayed on Indys and became Indys exclusive for most of Indys existence. And many of them then stopped posting on Indys because SA became such an established "scene" in PGH. SA was a scene for a couple years before it got any press on Indys and ECCIE. SA and FOSTA are the two factors which changed the "established" PGH hobby-scene more than anything....

All of them didn’t go to SA. SA isn’t for everyone. I suspect many just moved on from the hobby. J1M retired and moved to Fla. Jax46 retired to South Carolina. Some passed away. And some just dabble now. Like myself and a few other longtime hobbyists have. It was a good run. But it’s done.

Most hobby boards had regional followings. For example, Indys was mainly Pgh. When i would hobby in Philly, I used BestGFE which is now a shell of itself. For Florida, USASexGuide is big. ECCIE has always been big in Texas but in the east, had good followings in Pittsburgh and Upper NY state. So you really won't find other active Pgh forums like here at ECCIE. You will find a few occasional posts on USASexGuide in the Pittsburgh section but a really low volume

Dude, did you even read what I said. I said "Eccie in Pittsburgh has been a busy community for the last 8 years at least." I am not talking about 2005 to 2010. Indys was quite popular back in 2005-2010 but things changed over time for a variety of reasons

And if you think there have just been a dozen or so Pgh guys posting on ECCIE the last 8 years, and that the only people posting here were stragglers or exiles, well you have clearly lost your mind.

Indys and ECCIE were two very different sites the last 8 years. Indys started a long decline when it devolved into useless chitchat and the same tired providers placing the same ads every day - with hostility toward real reviews making the reviews that were posted worthless. Guys came to ECCIE to exchange real HOFO and post real reviews. The providers hated ECCIE because of it. They didn't like that true reviews were being posted - hence why very few advertised here.

But keep living in your delusional world and pretending their are just a dozen people who only post here (hell there are more than a dozen who posted just in this thread)

Yeah, Tolstoy considers himself the official chairman of the Historical Pittsburgh Hobby Museum. Whatever. Others, including you and I have been around just as long and have as much or more perspective on the Pittsburgh hobby scene. Stig and Chizzy come to mind also. And there’s Chickie, Laserface and Cabot. All of us have been around since ASPD and have been on multiple boards. There’s robust discussions on AMPs and Strip Clubs on ECCIE. Not so on Indys. And there are numerous guys who post regularly here on those topics. There are really too many to list. Tolstoys view that only a dozen regular posters here is ludicrous and false. Oh well.

I’ve been around quite a while too, just switched handles a few years back. But I agree ECCIE has always been the place for honest reviews. Indys was great at first but it really went downhill after the GTG bust.

And the hobby scene in this town is pretty much dead except for SA, and SA is a lot of work. The days of being able to just feel horny, open up a site full of ads for providers available that day, and see a girl who is attractive within a couple of hours, those days are long gone.

I guess it was a good run though.
