Looking at Wikipedia on Rapinoe...Interesting entry. Her older brother is a drug addict who has been in and out prison his whole life. Since Trump is about prison reform Megan should grateful. Odd thing, it is also says that drugs are COMMON in rural California. I guess that state is really going to hell. Also since Trump has taken a public stance that lesbians like Rapinoe should have a right to not be killed around the world, she should be doubly grateful. As for pay...it is not about how successful you are but by how many paying fans do you have. Now be honest, how many here have watched an entire or any part of a women's World Cup game?

The thread started with discussion of Rapinoe pulling a Kaepernick and disrespecting the flag and then having her pwoor wittle feelings hurt when Trump chose not to endorse her calls for male and females in soccer to be paid equally.

I watched most of the game against France. Limited parts of other games. The woman's soccer team is ranked #1 in the world. I am not a soccer fan but I like to see teams from our country excel, and the woman's soccer team has done exactly that for a long time.

The point of any game played is to play hard from beginning to end. Unfortunately the team from Thailand was probably the weakest team in the tournament. I definitely felt sorry for the Thai team but the U.S. coach can't tell the team members to stop playing offense.

I agree. Go %100 the whole game. This is the World Cup not T League. At least the Thai team knows it has some work to do to compete at this level. It should make them better. You can argue that the US ladies were a little over exuberant after every goal. But sportsmanship went out the window years ago.
