my thought is they should not be getting intelligence briefings.
They don't get a "full" and "detailed" briefing.

Things have changed, but when JFK was sworn into office he was unaware (as was his "transition team") that the U.S. had roughly 8,000 contract and military personnel fighting and observing the "enemy" in S.E. Asia and a carrier group off shore running regular sorties (weather and targets permitting) as needed and desired to support the ground personnel.

Why didn't he get that info? Where were you, LLephantMan?

That's right, you were hanging in the mean streets of Clarksville, before most of us were born!

Question - from what I understand the $400 million was just the first installment of an agreement by Odumbo to fork over $1.7 billion to the mullahs.... what happened to the other $1.3 billion?

Hopefully, they will take Assup hostage, and we will continue to withhold payment.

We wouldn't want him back, would we??

I know they don't get full/detailed briefing but if the other candidates aren't being breifed, then they should not be getting briefs. that is all I was getting at.

When I copy and paste a Puke_Likley comment, it take me to a anti-Reagan site... Why is that?

The "intelligence community" and the Kennedy's didn't get along, and the friction was enhanced by the Cuban ordeal (Bay of Pigs).

If you research the history prior to the Kennedy's there was a connection between U.S. intelligence and the Sicilian "mafia" which infiltrated the dock worker's on the East Coast....during WWII. It was a relationship of convenience and necessity.

Fast forward to Cuban ... pre-Castro..... and the money, gambling, and other "entertaining" activities .... out of the "lime-light"! The Kennedy administration pretty much took it down.

If you recall the presentation of Adlai Stevenson to the U.N. on the Bay of Pigs .... it looked uncomfortably similar to Colin Powell's presentation on Iraq.

Stevenson got NAILED BY IT!

The Agency gave him bogus photos and information that he portrayed to the world as being REAL! Much like Powell. Stevenson's word was no good after that .... Neither is Powell's.

That's absurd. Show me a link to your Stevenson story... I'm prepared to wait for your answer until hell freezes over!

But Obama still insist it wasn't Ransom.
