If you chose this as a life path, heaven forbid what if something happens? You have no sick time/personal time/vacation time/medical leave/maturity leave... or any form of PTO like at a real job. How much do you have to pay monthly to buy your own dental, medical, optical, chiropractic, and alternative medicine insurance that real jobs give you or would you just do the unthinkable and go on welfare/medicare/medicaid and skim off of the real tax payers and put our country even further into debt?
I would also be just sick over letting my masters degree rot in a frame on the wall.
These are just the reasons why I would never do this to make my living, I like to see the bigger picture and worry about my future. Yes, I have used this to help secure my future and I would NEVER regret ever having this as part of my life, I am a provider and proud of it. By doing this I have paid off 90% of my student loans, gone on amazing vacations, bought 2 cars, bought a house, totally re-renovated a house, and now I am house shopping for my dream home with an extremely small mortgage and big down payment so that I wont be under debt for the rest of my life... why would I ever regret any of that? Why would I be ashamed of taking control of my life and making it wonderful? So please save the "How dare you look down on hookers" BS

lexxxy..yeah i got involved..when someone is gonna take hits on me in regards to how I handle my biz and where I advertise and other very personal things in my life...you can bet your 2 cars 4 houses, 15 other side jobs 15 degrees you carry that Im gonna defend myself..regardless how it shocks you!

Unfreakin believable - A mother who happens to be a mod is attacked and you can't understand why she's emotionally invested??? Unfortuantely, a masters degree does not guarantee someone won't end up on welfare or some other public assistance program. I hope you use a ladder to get off your high horse.

That to me translate a very lazy person.... but thats IMHO. What you can't work 40 hours a week like the rest of us? I have always had a full time job while doing this. Spring will be the first time ever that I don't work full time... but going to school is a full time job.

Oh and depending on the college degree depends on the demand for a job.... I'm pretty sure there are a shortage of nurses...Looks like I'll have no problems finding a job

For your sake, I wish you would not start threads like this and then fuel the fire with statements that are contradictory and/or highly inappropriate. You have filled this thread with posts that people will find offensive and don't paint you in a positive way. For instance:

You can't say things like you'd shoot yourself if you didn't become something better than a provider and then say that you don't look down at women who choose this as a career path.

You can't expect guys to enjoy the prospect of seeing you if you demean your profession that way either. Most of us don't want to think we are going to see a lady who hates what she is doing and feels compelled to do it as a last resort to pay bills. We would prefer at least the fantasy that you enjoy seeing us just a tad.

It seems hypocritical that you have been upset at guys who you think may have told you how to do some TCB things , and then wonder why the ladies get upset when you tell them how to do their business.

You are dead wrong to believe that being a nurse or some other "real job" is in some way better than being an escort. In my profession , I know many nurses, and have 2 in my immediate family. I don't want to be too critical of them, but frankly, there are few who merit the respect of many of the ladies I have frequented on this board. The providers here may not be in a job that a portion of society condones, but the service they provide is extremely valuable to the portion of society who avail themselves of it.

I hold my lady friends from this board, a few who have commented in this thread, in higher regard than nearly all of my nurse aquaintances -- and believe me , most of the people I know in nursing got into that job not for the good of caring for others, but rather because they thought it was a high hourly wage for the time it took for the education. Getting paid well to work fewer hours is no crime -- in nursing or escorting.

GP probably confused you with Mary as she used to make some of the same inane statements that were a slap in the face to the career providers. Believe me, after 15 years in the hobby, I have a pretty good feel for who the best providers are. There are a few good short timers, but as a group, the women who have made a career of it, or at least a career long enough to have financial security tend to be the best. Not only have they taken a liking to the job, but they understand the need for excellent TCB and BCD skills to keep a good client base. The result is that they study their craft. They get better. They learn the men's psyche. They make us feel wanted and as if they want to be there with us. When we believe you like us and like your job, we have more fun and we return. Success for everyone. There are a few who are using this as a stepping stone to a different career who have mastered this (eg. Lynn) , but more often it's the ladies who are in it for a longer term/security/providing for their family (eg. Nikki and Anita) who have developed those skills.

If you feel the way you do about this job, maybe you should take the advice you gave to Ms E and get out yourself. If not, you should probably keep the friends you have by not being so critical of others. That is just some friendly advice as I genuinely wish you well and don't see how it can be good for you to alienate yourself that way.

some of the clients really have to work to get with me..but i as well have to work really fr**kin hard to make the time and day with him..its a two way street for those that are serious about this...

..but you can bet your hottest high dollar I'm gonna make it up to that fellow and give him a discount and still warp him beyond his beliefs..why..cuz this is what i do...

I have opened my market up to same day..with in an hour to an hour and a half..1 day prior..2 days in advance..beyond that they cannot book with me..things happen.more often than not that their schedule changes or mine does..
it's life..it happens. Im a short notice kinda gal...

but some ya'll others aren't...and there tain't a thing wrong with that..you do you and be proud of it..

If they want a certain date and time its up to them to keep me refreshed,,and they do,,they pm me..email me and call me to make sure they get that day and that time..and they do..

..also..I do phone as opposed to email..

Do you know how many men have seen me due to that "catcall"...and still come back to see me...love those guys... cuz they show me luv..and they appreciate that I'm able to see them that short notice..and actually I have captured a few texts of .."rates" gents as repeat "clients"..catcall or not..they be good guys!! That's how they are..that's their personality..
And they may not know it..but I adore them..I know them and I trust them..streets sometimes goes along way in this biz..helps you be able to read folks..

I really think that this thread and the nastiness and insults have been going on too long. This is a fun board for all of us to enjoy, BOTH men and women. Personal attacks and treating each other with disrespect is not needed.
