... GREAT posts by BOTH you and Lucas here, mate.
How 'bout THIS as a compromise - a so-called "Open Class"
- where athletes of either sex can compete against each-other?
With allowance by the NCAA and secondary schools.
Pennsylvania university and other schools might agree to this.
... Seem like a fair-minded and reasonable compromise to me.

I agree, both of these posts are on point…on topic, and well stated.

It’s not a perfect solution but it is inclusive without pushing them out of sports entirely.
But I’m not involved in organized sports or a transgender individual so my recommendation really doesn’t mean much of anything except as a possible place to start. It will take people actually in organized sport to come up with a proposal that most people will agree to.
|
txdot, I would think that this might be a good place to start and see where it goes from there. My guess would be that you would most likely see an immediate drop off in trans women trying to compete in women’s sports, which could ultimately solve the problem on it’s own.

Why should anyone be able to compete against others physically if they have such an unfair advantage? If they want to practice against real chicks, cool. But they shouldn't be allowed to actually compete against them even if it doesn't count in any real competition. What's the point of letting them do that?
|
What Lucas stated is what I’ve been saying, or trying to say in my posts in this thread. That trans women have an unfair advantage over biological women physically. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m not a bigot, have zero trans hate, and I’m not attacking marginalized groups as some might have you believe. I’m simply just advocating for fairness in women’s & girl’s sports. Period.

How the fuck do you know that Lia Thomas didn't identify as a tranny just to compete against women? You fucking don't. Just like I don't know that he did. Your holier than thou attitude disgust me. You make claims about knowing trannies and how they are such nice people so we should welcome them into any group or organization they wish to join. You act like because you know one or two they are all great honest people. Some are some aren't. That point doesn't matter. They should never be allowed to compete in women's sport or be in women's locker rooms. Period.

I was not going to respond to this, just let the Mods deal with it if they thought it appropriate.
But I refuse to give up that right.
You do not disgust me.
I did not say that about any person here.
I was intentionally very careful to not do that.
I said that about some of the behavior.
Your escalation into a personal attack is not right.
You make assumptions about my personal life...which you have done before...yet you know nothing about my personal life or the way I conduct it.
Zero.
That needs to stop.
I continually strive to live up to the things that I say in my posts here.
I work very hard in my personal life to not demonize, denigrate, or degrade marginalized groups - LGBTQ, racial minorities, immigrants, others.
MAGA has glorified the opposite of these behaviors.
The very first sentence of your Original Post is enabled by that.
And it is behavior that personally disgusts me.
Not you. Not anyone here. The behavior. The things said.
If you respond to this post, I ask that you not attack me in this way again and not make comments about my real-life personal behavior that you...again... know nothing about.
Ever.

You push this "absence of a negative" bullshit over and over and over and over....two of them in this post!
It is a cheap game that you play frequently to deflect and divide.
You misrepresent the others in this thread the same way you misrepresent marginalized groups continually on here. I will never forget your statement that the "majority" of immigrants "hate our country." I won't let you forget it either if you keep making your claims about "not attacking marginalized groups" and keep twisting the words of people on here whose veiws you don't like.
Your pleas for "empathy" are similarly hollow.
Multiple people here, including me, have agreed that there are problems with this that need to be discussed and appropriate decisions that need to be made. Those discussions need to be done rationally, with no political gamesmanship or personal animus. You further degrade the ability to do that by making divisive, illogical criticisms like this.

The only bigotry and hatred is from the LEFT. Misogyny and trying to shout down Riley Gaines and anybody else daring to speak out against this violation of women's rights. While not daring to tell THEIR female relatives that they have to go through showering with, changing with, and competing against MEN.
Never mind that Thomas walked around the locker room with HIS johnson swinging around and still likes women.

We want women's rights protected. YOUR side calls actual women and those of us defending their rights transphobic and bigots. THAT disgusts real Americans.

Wow. That's getting pretty heated. Will the accusations of "lies" come next? And always with the "YOUR side" thing... this bizarre deflection. It's almost as tiresome as you and FB and your "usual suspects" triteness.
The above ain't why I'm here, though. It is truly not worth responding to. Just more of your RDS....
Let's revisit THIS one...cuz ya almost had me here! But ya just couldn't help yerself... didn't know when to stop...

Here’s the thing:
YOU COULD HAVE WON YOUR POINT! All you had to do was stop after you posted the above links. I would have had two choices: stay silent and hope no one noticed (which is what most do here when they know they have been proven wrong) or say something like “wow, you are right. There is more of this than I thought.”
Nope. You then call out my posts about transphobia and bigotry right after you…. call Trans people mentally ill.
Which also negates your argument that I am off topic.
I can sympathize though. Usually when I destroy one of your arguments with logic and facts, you chose the “I hope this goes away” tactic. So it had to be really difficult to limit yourself to the same when you knew you had a chance to prove me wrong with facts. Well....maybe next time…
But at least you didn’t say that I “lied” like you used to constantly. Always the worst argument. It is interesting to see that behavior stopped.

Lia Thomas doing this....almost as bad as CLARENCE Thomas talking about his dick constantly in front of staff, creating a sexist and demeaning environment. The darling of the Conservative Court....
(don't ferget about the accusations of what Brett Kavanaugh did with his dick either!)
Think that is maybe stretching the topic? Might not be very relevant?
Yeah....neither is Lia Thomas's personal behavior.
None of us would defend that. We didn't even defend anything about her medal or anything else.
I will defend my criticism of Riley Gaines, though. She is a self-serving MAGA shill who has capitalized on all of this relentlessly.
But why TF wouldn't she? MAGA weaponizes that type of behavior and rewards it massively. They even give it plenty of "likes"... on a hooker board.

LOL. MAGAts going on about protecting women's rights. It would mean so much more if you weren't actively trying to turn the country into a retard version of The Handmaid's Tale.

Hey, women! We're sorry we took away your rights to make your own private reproductive healthcare decisions. But we are gonna make it up to you by protecting you from getting a volleyball spiked into your face by a mentally ill Trans person. And don't worry....we are working hard to take away THEIR rights to make their own private medical care decisions also! We are the party of freedom!

And as usual when your argument is destroyed you revert to nothing but personal attacks, insults, and off topic deflections. And trying to bait a response. As for Riley Gaines, she has EVERY RIGHT to call out this bullshit as she has been personally hurt by it. Again, protecting women's rights is NOT bigotry or transphobic. It's called doing the right thing. Interesting how not one leftist here screeching those insults will go tell their female family members to go through that same thing. Very interesting indeed....

You accuse me of word play... then twist my words... AGAIN.
I was definitely on topic when I spoke about the issue of Trans players in volleyball. Mentally ill ones too, which has been a BIG part of the topic here. I would have thought you would have approved.
But no...I do not want to make this about abortion rights.
I am keeping it on topic.
My intent was to post something called satire. Sorry if you did not understand.
But it is exactly why my point about healthcare was on topic also.
Because a post before mine had mocked the irony of MAGA defense of women's rights, which is certainly germane to this thread. My post only expanded on that.
I don't know what you think the limits on this thread should be. Was your intention just to have more crude Transphobic comments like your opening post? You should have said so!

Yes. My argument is always destroyed. "Obliterated"... I think is the term that you are required to use right now. Of course, it is never obliterated by using logic or facts. It just happens by you and some group of "suspects" saying that it is. Destroyed. Always.
Good enough! Seems we are done, then. I am, for sure.
Cuz there ain't nothing about this that is "very interesting." Even your shilling for Riley Gains. She is an opportunistic ass spewing MAGA-approved anti-Trans hate.
I predict the "screeching" is not over though. Cuz you complain about the "bait" above... and then you take it. But I'm out.
I close with this: the only real insults in this thread are the things said by some about Trans people. I don't really give a shit if you call me names. And if some of the things I have said pissed you off....well, imagine being a part of a marginalized group like that where you are insulted far worse than that every day. Every fucking day. With no opportunity to defend yourself, cuz if you do, something worse will probably happen.
The more that you allow that to happen... the more likely it is that you wake up one day to find out that you or someone you care about is now a part of some new, unapproved, marginalized group.
What could go wrong?
Screech away. I will not hear it, I refuse to be part of this any more. I am probably close to getting bounced anyway. Truly... don't... care...
