Your regulars will understand the temporary change and newbies just want a time and a place to play,,,The focus is to move on and to make it less economically painful by having money coming in because right now you are losing money,,,I would trash the things that are water damaged and wouldn't even bother cleaning it up or drying it out,,,You will have mildew and mold problems if you try to keep everything that was damaged,,,You should try to make your incall more simple and less homelike because it's easier to psychologically deal with problems when there is less to lose and less to fix. The flooding problems in Houston won't go away.
Just put the crap in storage and move back in. Hell, I've spent longer than that sleeping on a metal bunk in shipping container on a anchored barge.
The place is going to stink up with all the water damage on the floors and on the walls,,,You know a Houston John is going to be quick on the complaints. I would move elsewhere.
So sorry for ur losses Fancy ur a truly sweet woman that doesn't deserve this set back. But ur also very intelligent and will find a replacement for all that u lost.
As far the Troll I think I need to start another Troll Poll
No matter what, you will come out great. You are a class act and one hell of à woman. Wish I could help, but my situation won't allow it. Sorry!!!!!!!!
Some people lost their lives because of this storm.
Weiter sage ich das Richtige wäre gewesen zu tun, statt die alte mans unter Wasser den Kopf, bis er nicht mehr bewegt
[Again I say the right thing to do would of been to held that old mans head under water until he stopped moving]
I just received word from the management of my apartment complex that yes, there was flood damage at my place. My living room carpet is totally ruined and they are moving my things and pulling it now. Don't know how high the water got, hopefully just soaked the rug. They can't get into the bedroom yet as only I have the key. The creek has fallen near my home out of town, which is fine, thankfully, so I am on my way to Houston to see what has become of my antique furnishings and personal belongings. I have insurance, but as I said previously, many things there I treasure cannot be replaced by mere money.
No Fancy incalls, obviously, until repairs are made.
(Oh, by the way, I was in the Montgomery County flood of 1994 and lost 90% of everything I owned then, including the house I resided in before the Irish Chihuahua Refuge, some beloved critters, and almost my own life trying to get myself and my pets out in the middle of the night in water over my chest, so yes, I take this weather stuff pretty seriously. I can empathize with the people on the TV to the extent of tears. Nobody who hasn't been through this type of disaster knows how devastating it can be, and what long-term effects it has on your life financially and emotionally. You certainly treasure what you are able to salvage, and I hate to think I've lost some of those items now.)
Memorial Day 2015 I lost my incall due to the huge flood!! I was shocked and devestated. I had to spend week moving, cleaning, etc. It was a long week and clean up. I feel you girl. Glad you are safe though. And it will get better.
