Is a Five Star + hotel room, at $300-$500 (or more), really ten times better than two hour stay in a room at some chain ending in Palace or Inn?

Somewhat, but isn't this inherent in everyone? Why pay more when you can get the same for less. If you say you want a salesmen to take a lower commission first question I ask is what is his commission relative to the industry average and how is his product.
When you ask your question it sounds like you are asking, "would you like to buy something at a lower cost or a higher cost?" And "would you like to earn more $ or earn less $?"
I mean no disrespect to you sir and I don't know why but I think I rubbed you the wrong way somewhere along the line. That was not my intent.
I'm lucky to see more than two ladies a year. If I had a decent job and could afford it, I'd have no problem seeing Caroline, or Val. Unfortunately, my situation has me getting less a month than they do for two sessions. I'm not cheap and would spend certain amounts for certain women. However, life hasn't afforded me that option and disability income sucks, so I do the best I can with what I have to work with. I've been lucky to have a few ladies, very few, offer me a special rate, but for the most part it's full rate or celibacy. That makes me selective on who I choose to see.
Trust me, there are more guys out there in my situation who feel the same way, they choose to lurk.
All in all, whatever anybody says or pays for play...... It's still cheaper than getting married...!!

You're doing the right thing based on your hobbying budget. Charcoal hit the nail on the head though. Just think about how much money would be wasted if you were just trying to get some booty in the civilian world.
I bet if you look hard enough you can find some good providers at a decent rate to fit your budget...

Here is how I see it, plain and simple. The car analogy, sort or works. You can buy a nissan or you can buy an infiniti at about 150% of the nissans price. In the end, they are the SAME car. Same engine, drivetrain, frame, etc.
So far, I think we would all agree this fits with "budget" girls vs HDH.
Where they (cars) are NOT the same is in looks and comfort. The infiniti will have a better ride, look better on the surface, have more modern appointments and such, youll also get much better service at the dealership, free loaners, comfy waiting room, etc.
This is where the analogy starts to stray - guys ASSUME that if the price-tag is $500/hr that they will be getting the equivalent of the infiniti in looks, environment, and service, but nothing promises that. While the supply / demand theory would seem to point to HDH's being better looking and better at what they do, its partially irrelevant because men are shopping with their dick, and as an underground business, true market forces arent as strong.
In my experience (and I havent seen a HDH, but from "shopping") the looks / presentation / environment seem to indicate closer to the infiniti, but at the end of the day, you are there for sex, and thats the same drive-train and engine in either model. Only difference being, is there are some out there, such as myself, where the environment, the look, the fantasy, have to be working to get to the sex. I cant do spas because its dirty and grungy to me, so it doesnt matter if pussy is pussy because external factors effect my ability to even have sex, so I stick to the mid range gals (fully loaded nissan or base infiniti I suppose.)
And at the end of the day, it IS like shopping for cars. Some people get a kia because thats all they can afford and just live with it, some get one because they just dont want to spend more and a car is a car, some buy 100K cars and live in an apt because they value that look, some have the money to make any choice they want....and they all are basically in the same position as soon as that new car smell wears off.
