It now turns out that the prosecutors knew not only who he was but where he was before the trial. The question is whether the defense was informed that “jump kick man” was actually Maurice Freeland, 39.
While the prosecutors would likely object, the defense could have sought to introduce Freeland’s record (particularly for any impeachment effort). He has a lengthy criminal history in Wisconsin, including charges for battery, disorderly conduct and driving while intoxicated this year. That means that all of the alleged victims had criminal records. In Freeland’s case, he has an open criminal complaint for domestic violence for an attack on his partner in a drunken rage, ultimately throwing her to the ground and kicking her in her ribcage before she managed to flee. He has various violent offenses in this record as well as escaping from custody and parole violations.
There is no confirmation whether this information was withheld from the defense. That would be a serious violation, if true. It would add to a lengthening list of blunders and alleged violations committed by the prosecution.
What is notable however is that the prosecution suggested that it was unaware of the identity and was speculating on his motivation in kicking Rittenhouse. It turns out that the prosecution spoke to Freeland since it is reported that prosecutors refused his offer to testify in exchange for an immunity deal.

I see you are getting prepared in case Kyle looses. Good plan. Either that you could say dead people voted in the jury. LOL

Pray for the Kyle Rittenhouse jury. I mean that. What they did today wasn’t easy. They’ve had their lives threatened and no doubt will continue to. The media will try to dox them and the left will be relentless. They did the right thing and made sure justice survived another day.

I guarantee they will be investigated for everything theyve ever said or done in their entire lives! Theyll be watched closely for years. Very sad!

Cheers outside the Kenosha County Courthouse after Kyle Rittenhouse is found not guilty. A lot of people who are driving by the courthouse were honking their horns in celebration after the verdict was announced.

Kyle is going to be a wealthy young man once all the defamation lawsuits are settled. I am glad he had his name cleared via acquittal rather than mistrial, he deserves it. My heart goes out to all the jury members and their families who will all be treated like Steve Bartman for their crime of having a brain and not being bullied.

... GLAD to see that the jury looked at the evidence
and made the proper decision here.
If the evidence don't fit - you surely should acquit.
... Hmmm... I'm gonna write that down...

How much you want to bet the feds get involved with some kind of ‘civil rights violation’ horseshit. They just can’t stomach that someone actually defended themselves from a left wing mob.

That would be an incredibly hard sell in a midterm election year where the left is going to get walloped already.
Its almost 9pm EST, is Kenosha on fire yet? Is it dark in Portland yet?

GoNadler already wrote the DOJ a letter to look into it.
