I agree. The offenses here cross party lines. Democrats on the list? Release it. Republicans on the list? Release it. Enough people from both parties on the list to shake government to it's foundation. Release it. No, that is not possible. Anyone that had any contact at all with Epstein would suffer reputational harm at this point.

As an example after Bill Gates association was known, a divorce followed and his foundation suffered.

Allow people to explain their association. Keeping this info secret just further spurs conspiracy theories. Met for lunch to discuss business, cool, say that. Took flights on his plane to his private island for a party, takes more explaining. If it was just immediately done as promised and the victims' names were redacted, I think it would have been a rather easy task to execute, and people could do just as you suggest.
