Nothing you’ve posted here invalidates what I said before. The Trump administration is using this issue to push a bigoted narrative in the form of an anti DEI agenda. All to divide the nation to further their own political interests.
They are using government policy to weaponize bigotry.

Wrong. I am qualified to make a diagnosis on mental health. Men cosplaying as women need to stay out of women's sports. U Penn bent the knee and realized they wanted the federal funding moreso than men cosplaying as women so the faculty of U Penn sided with MAGA.
You say that "if" I'm MAGA then I probably have more issues than any tranny out there. I say "if" a person identifies as tranny then they have more issues than a heterosexual man or woman who doesn't cosplay as a gender they're not.

The US Women's soccer team lost to a bunch of teenage boys in 2017. Tisk tisk. Males DOMINATE female in sports. We don't need fancy college degrees to figure that out. When it comes to a friendly game of billiard women can stomp men.
"teenage boys have defeated women's soccer teams in some instances. Specifically, the US Women's National Team (USWNT) lost 5-2 to an FC Dallas under-15 boys' academy team in a friendly match. This match, while informal, highlighted the physical differences between the two groups, with the boys being described as "bigger, stronger, and faster". Similarly, the Swiss women's national team lost 7-1 to an under-15 boys' team in another friendly match."

But, highly unlikely any of these facts will stop the denial.

I also don’t see the usual suspects advocating for transgender women to be denied competing in women’s sports either. Just political rhetoric…
Again, where is the empathy for the women & girls who’ve lost out on opportunities as well as their parents who supported them?

This is a complex issue that needs addressing by reasonable people on both sides. Unfortunately your side has been completely compromised by people like Donald Trump and Nancy Mace. That’s why you are seeing so much pushback.
If you want to come to some kind of peaceful compromise on this issue you have to leave the notion behind that you can legislate or executive order it away and that will be the end of it.

Off the top of my head, letting them compete without getting awards and not competing in tournaments because they might push out another competitor from the team or race. The problem lies with including them as players while disallowing them from upper tier competition.
It’s not a perfect solution but it is inclusive without pushing them out of sports entirely.
But I’m not involved in organized sports or a transgender individual so my recommendation really doesn’t mean much of anything except as a possible place to start. It will take people actually in organized sport to come up with a proposal that most people will agree to.

Sorry, txdot, but I cannot agree with you at all with that compromise. There should be no compromise. If they want to compete in sports, they can compete against their own gender and finish accordingly in fair competition. Or they can just compete against each other like they do in the WNBA to guarantee fair competition if they want a chance to compete and actually win IMO.
Why should anyone be able to compete against others physically if they have such an unfair advantage? If they want to practice against real chicks, cool. But they shouldn't be allowed to actually compete against them even if it doesn't count in any real competition. What's the point of letting them do that?

The same reason that some trans women compete in pageants. It’s inclusive rather than exclusive. There should definitely be a limit for trans athletes in gendered sports because at the end of the day it’s biologically unfair. But I do believe that there are too many people who identify as the opposite gender to dismiss / discriminate against them when more often than not they just want to be accepted by society at large.

it's a simple issue where biology and common sense show even post op trans men have a physical advantage over biological women and shouldn't be allowed in college sports because of that clear advantage.

pageants aren't athletic contests. having trans in a pageant just makes it a drag show

exactly. the advantage is obvious and one way. it's never an advantage for a woman to trans into a man and compete against men. that's a total fail. it's always a mediocre male athlete who trans to female and suddenly is winning medals.
these people can have all the pro trans leagues they want but they should be barred from college athletics

Classic. Just fucking classic.
Classic for you in two ways: first, that you ignored what I actually said. And second that you used your opportunity to double down on your misrepresentations of Trans people.
I told you to give me examples to back up your implied claim. Which is that men do this specifically so that they can dominate women's sports.
Lia Thomas did not do this. She is legitimately Trans. She did not transition to gain advantage over women in sports. She transitioned because SHE IDENTIFIES AS A WOMEN.
Your implication otherwise is unfair, dishonest, and disrespectful. As is your continued willingness to criticize marginalized people every chance you get. People who cannot defend themselves here in any way. People who don't deserve it.
But it is in good company...in this thread...on this Board...and in MAGA.

NONE of the people standing up for Trans people here said that it was right for Lia Thomas to compete as a women.
NO ONE.
NONE of the people standing up for Trans people here said we did not need to have conversations about this, figure out how to handle this dilemna.
NO ONE.
All that we did...
Was call out the rampant bigotry, homophobia, cruelty and hate here.
MAGA has normalized this, legitimized it, enabled it.
They dragged the GOP along with it and have corrupted it to the core.
That behavior continues to be defended.
It disgusts me.

You disgust me.
You hold yourself up as this beacon of truth like you and your lefty buddies are the only ones that care. Bull fucking shit. You act like trannies competing against actual women is so rare that it shouldn't even be discussed. How the fuck do you know that Lia Thomas didn't identify as a tranny just to compete against women? You fucking don't. Just like I don't know that he did. Your holier than thou attitude disgust me. You make claims about knowing trannies and how they are such nice people so we should welcome them into any group or organization they wish to join. You act like because you know one or two they are all great honest people. Some are some aren't. That point doesn't matter. They should never be allowed to compete in women's sport or be in women's locker rooms. Period.
