You do realize that the minority leader has been giving lengthier filibuster statements for 65 years.Strom Thurgood was one of the longer ones back in 1957, and just recently Kevin McCarthy was the last one to hold a record doing it -and the only reason Hakeem Jeffries went longer was to break that record.
