IMO Jade Rose represents a serious danger to male members of this community.

how many times since you have asked jade rose to stop contacting you have you engaged in dialogue with her or about her here in coed? As long as you continue to post about her does she not have the right to try and discuss the issue with you? I'm not disputing if she is dangerous or not, that I do not know. If you think she is dangerous why do you egg her on by continually harassing her if you think she is dangerous?

Im new here, but i think stock trader has a good point. Why not just leave each other be, in private and public. I have no idea if she is a danger, no more that if whispers is dangerous. If she isnt your thing thats cool, thats what this place is for. To each their own. If she has broken rules of the board by way of harassment then the board should deal with it. But to drag it out in public seems distasteful in my eyes.

I know that theres probably more to the story but it just seems to come across as spiteful.

There's a difference between engaging in Hobby related dialogue in a public forum versus private messages that include terms of endearment and signs of affection and an unhealthy interest that is unwanted.

I don't have to like somebody in order to respond to their comments and threads I start or to share an opinion that differs with them in a public setting. Nor do I have to be concerned with anyone getting the wrong impression from anything that I say or do in a public setting.

She has the right to discuss anything that she wants to hear in a public forum as do all of us so long as the material falls within the guidelines of what is allowable. My request to her was simply do not contact me in any type of private manner.

You attack her for flooding coed with posts seeking attention, so she sent you a private message instead of flooding the board with more posts, then you get mad about it. Terms of endearment, signs of affection and an unhealthy interest Would you have rather her sent you private message cursing you and threatening you? Of course she's interested in you how many posts have you directed towards her in public!

You don't have to like somebody to respond to their posts, I understand that but if she's dangerous why do you instigate her?

She has the right to contact you via private message because that's within the guidelines too. You don't want her to contact you via private message and she doesn't want you to continue attacking her in threads sounds like an agreement could easily be made after all she's publicly asked you to stop and you have publicly asked her to stop.

You are at a minimum a part of the problem, you are not the victim as you portray yourself.

Sometimes it may seem that way but 95% of the time it's due to people misunderstanding the guidelines and their practical application. As mods we can't just do anything we like we have criteria we have to meet.

Probably 50% of RTMs that come across my desk are from people just wanting us to censor someone who's being critical of them or who they don't like. They don't want to be censored of course, just someone else.

Problem with that is that freedom of expression is a core tenet of this place. Within reason people are free to participate however they wish. We're not here to hold anyone's hand or prevent anyone from being offended.

Its rarely that easy here in Austin. While you're trying to fend off the attacks of the protected, you are also dodging the attacks (or defensive walls) of the protectors.

There have long been two sets of rules here, its not imagination & its not exaggerated. Hell, its in play in this very thread. Hence the reverse position on what is outing and what is not.

Calling it "fair" is just a bit of a stretch...If it were just me that felt that way I'd be more self questioning.
