Hobbyist how many attempts before you move on to the next provider?

For most of us, this isn't our only business, so getting back to those looking for last minutes while we are busy elsewhere is not always top priority.

You guys have every right to have your own systems on how you contact providers and how long you wait or how many strikes you give them...I just find it a little bothersome when you assume to know what we do with our days and what our lives are like.

Though that's not to say that there aren't some good and fair points brought up in this thread, I just can't help but feel a strong sense of false entitlement going on.

Kate, I really don't see much of that honestly. It is a service business, whether a girl works part time (as I know you do) or full time (as the vast majority of girls I have met do) it is still a business. If she can't respond in a timely manner to inquiries, then she shouldn't advertise in the business. Just my opinion of course. But its like finding a good burger...they are everywhere...so if you can't get one at the first place, and you are hungry, go to the second, but don't starve while waiting. Lots of burgers out there.

Net is if I contact a girl...and she cant be bothered with responding that same day...then I really question how she runs her business. And if she is getting that many inquiries, she won't miss my $ at all... No hard feelings, but I don't need a girl when she gets around to me, I need one when I need one...make sense?

Wynter you weren't talking to me were you? I don't have a long list of No's, cause I am very intense in my research and won't contact someone if they have shown flake tendencies...this cuts down on bad experiences...

Only if you take it out of context...you are viewing it from a spreadsheet scheduling basis as a potential income. I am looking at it from "I have a 3 hour opening to have some fun & need to find someone that can fit the timeline"...we have different reasons for how we think...

BTW I have seen you 5 times and you were very accommodating to schedule...FWIW.

I hope you do not feel that we really feel entitled to anything besides getting responses and some don't expect responses. It is very understandable that providers have a real life outside of this hobby (at least I hope) as do hobbyist. My thought and question to the board was how many times do most hobbyist contact a provider before they stop just so some providers that care can learn how us hobbyist think. I have asked for provider input a number of times and received some great info which helps hobbyist too.

It's just a difference of perspective between Electric and Toyz. You're both right.

If you crave a particular menu item served only by a particular restaurant and they are momentarily closed for renovation when you drop by you will most likely patiently wait for them to reopen.

If you crave a sub at lunchtime and subway is locked when you drop by you will just pop over to thunder cloud down the road.

If you're merely hungry and need to quell the hunger pains you will immediately move on to the first place that can satisfy that hunger.

Electric is approaching this from the perspective that you are trying to book a particular provider rather than just trying to get laid when the opportunity and itch arises.

Some hard legs spend months trying to schedule with a particular provider and end up writing positive reviews when they finally come together. They usually claim it was worth the wait. This doesn't mean they didn't book several other providers during the interim.

In a nutshell I believe Electric is basically saying guys should not take it personally when a provider is unavailable to respond. Toyz is merely saying that providers should not take it personally when he moves on to Thunderclouds down the road for lunch.

Actually listeners, that's a bit too compact for what I meant. I don't always schedule within a 24 hour period. Its not always about the sub sandwich. A for instance is someone I have been texting for a week and our schedules just haven't meshed. Why I am still interested in her is because she HAS managed her business and shows good communication skills. Girls who care about their guests both potential and realized, tend to be better BCD. Those that show weak follow up and TCB skills are usually worse. True in all cases? Of course not. But it is a good rule of thumb.

So...net...if a girl appreciates that I contacted her out of hundreds of possibilities that gains instantaneous cred points with me. If she ignores me or doesn't have the time to manage her business (the one that SHE set up), then no...I am not.likely to bite thrice....she gets two contacts then I write her off...it ain't show friends, its show business.
