For most people, this isn't anywhere near a "basic commodity" purchase (although I have referenced [equated] the common "provider" to a commodity in the past - but that is a whole other thread) - and, it certainly isn't something anyone is going to die without (no matter what my ex-husband said - LOL).

This is a luxury purchase. One should expect (demand) more (better).
I understand what you're saying Jackie and I agree philosophically, but in reality you're wrong.

A 42" TV is NOT something "you have to have to live" but how many do you see walk out the door at Wal Mart? A fucking TON of them.

I abhor Wal Mart. Do I shop there? Very fucking rarely. I pretty much HAVE to have something that I just can't get anywhere else before I'll darken their doors with my shadow, but I, too, go in there from time to time.

I won't buy groceries there (way too many local grocery stores that offer better service). I won't buy electronics there (even Best Buy, as boxy store as it is, has at least a FEW people that have a clue and at least minimal service).

My point is that people do what they say they won't ALL THE FUCKING TIME. They say they hate something, then fuck/buy/eat it repeatedly. Why? I don't have any damn idea, I'm not one of them. I'm too fucking old to do things I don't want/like to do anymore, but that doesn't change the reality that they are out there and walk among us.

what i've found after years of reading eccie and prior boards, as well as general public actions [can you say rush limbaugh, glen beck, howard stern, etc]....

the more a person apologizes but doesnt really address the main issue/problem, the less that person cares about what people think about him or her and the less they will do to change their behavior.

either address the issue and say if you're going to correct it... or just dont say anything.
in the former case, people will prolly give you credit for addressing the issue and attempting to correct it. in the latter case, you have brought undue negative attention to yourself.

regarding letting the woman know the encounter was not so good...
i've had some less than deliteful encounters w/ women [in their 20s, 30s, 40s] in dallas, washington dc, florida, austin, new york, and even kansas city, mo. sometimes, i've written reviews about those encounters so other guys will have the opportunity to read about a less than deliteful encounter. and a few times, i've let the woman know about my experience [either just after the encounter and just before or after i posted a review]. most of the time, the woman leveled both barrels and i got hit with every name in the book. that is, they didnt address my issue, just blasted me. only one woman took my comments to heart and said she appreciated it, even offered me a discounted return visit.

so, while letting the woman know is great in theory, in my experience, it is not such a great idea.

guys, bottom line, if it's really important to let her know, then do so. if it's really important to let the guys know, tell them.
women, bottom line, if a guy tells you his experience was less than deliteful, either say "thank you" and forget about it. or say "thank you for letting me know how i can improve my business/service". but dont bitch at us for letting you know how we felt.

[we are supposed to be sharing our emotions, arent we??]
