well....., when I came here, the moderation was ,,,,,,,well,,,,,,, lets just say regemined to say the least. I felt caged i like a freakin animal to the point where I just stop caring and well,,,,,, you all know what happens when I stop caring and feel like nothing matters anymore..If I have to live like a caged animal, I cant do it very long when I start to see the walls closing in,,, I start to head strait for the botttle and visions of 50 personas a day start popping in and out of my brain and I START TO GET PISSED!! AND THEN I START TO GET WOUND UP TILL I WANT TO EYE REALLY REALLY EVOLVE FROM WHATEVER IS EATING INSIDE ME!!thiis is a bunch of CCCRRRAAAAAPP!! and it takes TEXAS to tell it like it is then I hear some buried truths and it all comes clear again to me..things NEVER CHANGE and people NRVER CHANGE! I get bored when GP not around ,, boredom mind is the devils playground.

I have no illusions or problems with "spillage" or coming in from a different "geopgraphical area" (sic).

But it is laughable for someone to come into a different area and start making grand pronouncements like "An iron fist, is the sign of a worthless mod."

Truths are truths, no matter how poorly or eloquently written.

It funny to watch the lifespan of a mod.
They start out fresh, with ideals and morals. They are "moderators"
After time, they become jaded. Free/discounted sections, and the belief that the board can't survive without them. They have become "goderators"
The great fall. Believing they are untouchable, they finally hang themselves with their own rope. They are "ambassadors", or guests when things have gotten completely out of hand.

It's a great mod who can walk the tightrope, and not think he is god nor suffer total burnout.

I personally feel that the best mods are dead mods, even if we have to kill them first.

Why do you, and many others, continue to think that it is " WE vs THEY " ?? Why are you so antagonistic??

This board is about " US " !!! We are all members.

I cannot speak for all the mods throughout the country, but the five mods in Upstate New York all believe in the " US " philosophy.

While I am new to being a mod, I am not new to enjoying this hobby and have been participating for 15 plus years and participating on other sites for many years as well.

We are all adults on this site, both men and women, who are here to enjoy this lifestyle we have all chosen to participate in.

Quail, you know for the most part I agree with what you say. But on this issue it has been and continues to be mods against membership. I assume you read the thread from the beginning and saw that many people disagree with this action not just a couple ,as some would label trouble makers. This was clearly a personal issue between GP and DD and he decided to flex his muscles. No we havn't a word from him. I will ask this question. Do all 5 upstate mods agree with this action? Was a joint decision after some discussion or a quick shoot from the hip action? And lastly, do the mods have the authority to "unban" someone? The answers to these questions will tell us a lot about the state of the board. Thanks
